RE: What if we're wrong? - Monica - 10-09-2013 Almost anything has hidden esoteric meaning if we look for it. Some Christians use the bible as an oracle - they ask a question, pray, then open the bible randomly and believe that whatever passage they read is their answer from God. That can be done with the Tarot, I Ching, or any other oracle. The archetypes are found in the bible, to be sure. The characters in the stories are like the characters in the Tarot - personifications of the archetypes. But in that sense, the Harry Potter books, The Lord of the Rings, or any other great work of literature can be used in that way too. Archetypes are found in those books also...the implication being that the bible isn't special...it's a collection of books which contain esoteric concepts and personifications of the archetypes, just like many other books. The teachings of Jesus do stand out though. I'd say it's probably a good idea to separate the words of Jesus from the rest of the bible. Even then, we have to remember that the gospels were all written 1-4 decades after he died, so, although there's obviously some good stuff in there, I think it's ridiculous to take his words literally as absolute authoritative, because who knows what he really said? Those gospels are just the accounts of the authors...Jesus didn't even write them. I don't think the bible is any more 'holy' than the Harry Potter books. What does 'holy' even mean anyway? Everything is holy. Everything is sacred. The beauty and sacredness of creation is all around us, in us and in everything. It's all holy. Each moment contains love; therefore everything is sacred. It gets the violet ray going. And heart chakra too. A Chinese fortune cookie once told me to pay attention to the color purple. I see that as a good sign to do just that. Is this correct? I spent half my life right in the middle - neither service-to-self nor service-to-others. I did not share what I had nor I took what was not mine. I thought this was the best way. Right in the middle. I have seen people who were ruthless, greedy, hoarding wealth and would not spend a cent on the poor around them. However, after a life-threatening experience (heart attack, near-death experience), these people turned around and became generous and helped society. I have also seen people who were generous, righteous, and spoke up for others. However, after a life-threatening experience (jailed for defamation, obstruction of "justice"), these people lost everything they possessed and became recluse, vengeful, and totally service-to-self. So Ra is correct: the more polarized you are, the more easily it is to turn polarity. Was I wrong? Yes, I was. I took the center path that led to repeated patterns of unhappiness, misery and an unfulfilled life. So, which path to choose, the positive polarity path or the negative polarity path? Ten years ago, I chose the positive polarity path but it has been tough going. Maybe, one day, I may find that I am wrong too for choosing the positive polarity path. From what I can see nowadays, people on the negative polarity path seem to have all the fun. ![]() RE: What if we're wrong? - Hototo - 10-13-2013 (10-12-2013, 10:26 PM)Wai Wrote:Quote:19.18 Questioner: I assume that an entity on either path can decide to choose paths at any time and possibly retrace steps, the path-changing being more difficult the farther along is gone. Though right now seems to be a period of returns. Quote:So, which path to choose, the positive polarity path or the negative polarity path? I've tried to as best I am able to search for and apply the path of service to all. Though it has been said to not exists and to be impossible to reach. |
