RE: Poetry - norral - 08-13-2011 the inner angel deep within our hearts of hearts an angel sits there in the dark clothed in violet , pink and white, this angel is a being of light. slowly now he begins to rise taking to the heavenly skies goodness and truth have the upper hand as we become the heavenly man we laugh with joy as we become one with the angelic one norral ![]() RE: Poetry - Confused - 08-13-2011 Nice poem, norral! Love reading your literature. Haqiqu has not posted in quite a while, though. I used to like the individual's work as well. RE: Poetry - norral - 08-14-2011 thanks brother !! our sister will be posting shortly im sure ![]() Love Does That - haqiqu - 08-14-2011 LOVE DOES THAT All day long a little burro labors, sometimes with heavy loads on her back and sometimes just with worries about things that bother only burros. And worries, as we know, can be more exhausting than physical labor. Once in awhile a kind monk comes to her stable and brings a pear, but more than that, he looks into the burro's eyes and touches her ears and for a few seconds the burro is free and even seems to laugh, because love does that. Love frees. `````````````````````````````````````````````````` Meister Eckhart Love Poems From God translated by Daniel Ladinsky ![]() (08-13-2011, 02:34 AM)norral Wrote: the inner angelhello brother norral i really like the visuals your last two poems created in my mind's eye. thanks, these poems speak to me. love you brother ![]() RE: Poetry - norral - 08-15-2011 love u too sister !! thanks for sharing with us . norral ![]() Keeping Quiet - haqiqu - 08-16-2011 Keeping Quiet Now we will count to twelve and we will all keep still. For once on the face of the earth let's not speak in any language, let's stop for one second, and not move our arms so much. It would be an exotic moment without rush, without engines, we would all be together in a sudden strangeness. Fishermen in the cold sea would not harm whales and the man gathering salt would look at his hurt hands. Those who prepare green wars, wars with gas, wars with fire, victory with no survivors, would put on clean clothes and walk about with their brothers in the shade, doing nothing. What I want should not be confused with total inactivity. Life is what it is about; I want no truck with death. If we were not so single-minded about keeping our lives moving, and for once could do nothing, perhaps a huge silence might interrupt this sadness of never understanding ourselves and of threatening ourselves with death. Perhaps the earth can teach us as when everything seems dead and later proves to be alive. Now I'll count up to twelve and you keep quiet and I will go. "huing" with their replies the dolphins appear to know playing in the depths below will you join them in the here? where confusion becomes clear yes...everyone's invited to get really excited about the endless opportunity of infinite possibility about breathing in fresh air and having love to share about hearing water flow and watching flowers grow towards the light we all seek the heroe's journey to the peak when we get there what do we find? the glaring truth makes us blind so we're left with faith alone as we leap into the unknown the staff of will at your side in the mystery you can confide peace, mikey
RE: Poetry - Meerie - 08-19-2011 Cool poetry, Mikey! A question... is this supposed to be some kind of rap? It reads like one to me. The meditation rap, yo! ![]() RE: Poetry - alchemikey - 08-19-2011 where the stream meets the lake when the dreamer becomes awake what the journey is all about why on the top of a mountain you shout each question leads back to "who?" to an identity that feels most true where my boundary dissolves into you when the universe gives me a clue what the mystics have preached so long why a poet channels words into song because a heart so full must share like a cloud dropping rain into the air peace, mikey (08-19-2011, 06:52 AM)Meerie Wrote: Cool poetry, Mikey!i am working on turning my poetry more into songs "soak me up now," says the rain
i will help wash away all your pain release all your worries and release your fears pretend every rain drop is one of your tears hop into a puddle with bare feet feel where the water and your skin does meet listen to the stream as it rushes past my body will die but the water will last "sway with me now," says the air i will help manifest your every prayer so be careful with the words you speak you're responsible for what leaves your cheek my role is merely to connect all things learn to bend with what the moment brings if you breathe deeply you will find there is a treasure which can forever be mined "shine and be seen now," says the fire i will help to spark your creative desire do what you love and your warmth will spread to live without passion is like being dead just give without expecting in return from this practive i promise you will learn how expansive it is to be a simple flame we're all different colors but a light we're the same "be still and grow now," says the earth i will help you heal and deal with rebirth like a caterpillar morphs into a butterfly so can a human advance into the sky to get your wings your vibration must rise that may involve dissolving some ties for the familiar must go if you wish to stay fresh the eternal soul entwined with innocent flesh peace, mikey RE: Poetry - Oceania - 08-19-2011 somebody post some Eminem! Daisies - haqiqu - 08-19-2011 DAISIES It is possible, I suppose that sometime we will learn everything there is to learn: what the world is, for example, and what it means. I think this as I am crossing from one field to another, in summer, and the mockingbird is mocking me, as one who either knows enough already or knows enough to be perfectly content not knowing. Song being born of quest he knows this: he must turn silent were he suddenly assaulted with answers. Instead oh hear his wild, caustic, tender warbling ceaselessly unanswered. At my feet the white-petalled daisies display the small suns of their center piece, their -- if you don't mind my saying so -- their hearts. Of course I could be wrong, perhaps their hearts are pale and narrow and hidden in the roots. What do I know? But this: it is heaven itself to take what is given, to see what is plain; what the sun lights up willingly; for example -- I think this as I reach down, not to pick but merely to touch -- the suitability of the field for the daisies, and the daisies for the field. ~ Mary Oliver ~ (Why I Wake Early) ![]() A Note - haqiqu - 08-20-2011 A Note Life is the only way to get covered in leaves, catch your breath on the sand, rise on wings; to be a dog, or stroke its warm fur; to tell pain from everything it's not; to squeeze inside events, dawdle in views, to seek the least of all possible mistakes. An extraordinary chance to remember for a moment a conversation held with the lamp switched off; and if only once to stumble upon a stone, end up soaked in one downpour or another, mislay your keys in the grass; and to follow a spark on the wind with your eyes; and to keep on not knowing something important. ~ Wislawa Szymborska ~ (Monologue of a Dog, translated by S.
