In June of 2005 I kept a daily journal on a speaking trip to Britain and decided to keep the daily entries going on my return. If you would like to keep up with L/L Research and my activities, this is the place to do that. Of course, sometimes these days (May 2012) it is Jim who writes the daily entry, so I should say, OUR activities! We wish you blessings, light and love! Carla L. Rueckert-McCarty and Jim McCarty. Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. She took her three walks today and is actually getting a little stronger in the struggle it takes to get out of this Clinitron bed. You have to turn it off in order to have solid sand to push against and get out, but when the bed is off you find that you have sunken down about ten inches from where the air puts you with the bed on. It is literally an uphill struggle to get out and Carla’s scrambling muscles are getting a good workout.

I spent my afternoon painting the trim and eaves on the back of the house. It was careful work, especially since I was painting while dodging around the power lines that go to the garage. But it looked great after it was done, and it had enough time to dry before the heavy rain and light hail came through.

Gary was back in the L/L office today and reported his work:

Completed proofreading Sessions 29 - 36 with Carla, upping our count from six to eight sessions. Sent them off to Tobey and Michelle. Went to initiate a refund of an online store transaction and discovered that no transactions were recorded after June 5 with the company that processes credit cards. Called company, learned that the store had been likely been left in "test mode" when Steve switched web host. Contacted Steve, learned that such was the case. Steve fixed. Apologetically emailed a handful of people asking them to re-make the same orders they had made before. Processed a few Homecoming registrations! Corrected an error I made in getting a section of the Light/Lines to Edgard, received the PDF back from him and mailed to Steve for publication to the archive website. Received Terry's latest batch of Chinese transcripts.

Our evening was spent watching a block of NCIS on television and when that ran out we had a lovely date and exchanged smiles and energy with panache. Carla said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. Today she was on the radio from 1 to 3 pm with Wynn F. focusing on healing the planetary grid of Earth and any trouble spots that have sprung up in the last couple of weeks. This made three days in a row that Carla has partaken in a radio interview from her Clinitron bed. She is becoming a communications media figure!

While she was on the radio I cleaned my truck and an area of the eaves around the front porch that became dirty when I blew the leaves out of the gutter last fall. It just needed a wash rather than a paint job.

Our evening was spent watching television and hanging out with each other. We did the three dressing changes today and I continue to feel that her wound is very slowly getting better. It looks a lot like a sail boat. The hull of the boat is where the new skin is forming and looking more solid and the sail part of the boat is where the esker/scabbing is still present. We are wondering what is happening under that scabbing. Carla said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. We did the usual walks and dressing changes and hanging out with the kitty cats. Carla spent the first three hours of the afternoon on Wynn F’s radio show talking about the Law of One information. It gives her a lot of joy to be able to share with people even when she is down in bed. Coincidentally, today marks 26 months since her back surgery and we are hopeful that healing is only a few weeks away by now.

I puttered around outside spreading some of the gravel and small stones in our little creek that I brought back from Avalon two days ago. I also repaired the stone work at the head of the driveway that the roofers ran over with their big truck.

I read in our local paper about the “Vault in the Ville” that occurred a few days ago. Some of the best pole vaulters in the country, both men and women, came to town to pole vault downtown in the 4th Street Live part of town which caters to shoppers and tourists with all kinds of shops and events. I vaulted in high school and have wanted to vault again in the senior Olympics but haven’t made it there yet, though I do have a fiberglass pole hanging up in my bedroom. This reminds me of an article I read in the paper from earlier this summer about a 17-year old girl in Texas who pole vaults even though she is legally blind. Look through a straw and you will see as she sees except that her right eye can’t distinguish shape from shadow. She starts 80 ft. from the crossbar and puts down a strip of dark cloth the length of the runway so she can distinguish light from dark. Then she runs as fast as she can and counts steps. At the moment that she needs to plant the end of the pole in the box at the end of the runway her coach shouts at her to do so and she launches herself into the air. She points her feet straight up and her head down and the energy of the run is transferred into her pole which  bends in a U-shape and then flings her skyward and over the bar. She made 11’ 6” this year and I can’t imagine a more fearless thing to do than to pole vault blind.

Our evening was spent watching television finishing up with Austin City Limits where we listened to the very interesting music of Spoon. They looked and played like a punk band with lots of energy and rhythm, but they also had an 8 piece horn section that gave them a unique sound. I said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. She had a fairly quiet day and spent most of her time playing solitaire, doing crossword puzzles, and watching television. We got our three laps in, plus our two body oilings, and three visits with our cats.

I left after lunch for a trip to Avalon where I mowed the meadow and loaded another 18 five gallon buckets with gravel and small stones from the creek to put in our little creek here at Camelot to make it look more realistic. That may be one of my last trips to Avalon as we should be closing on its sale within the next couple of weeks.

We had a fairly exciting evening as the 8 pm time for Monica’s In the Now blog talk radio show approached we got a frenzied call from Monica saying that she couldn’t get into the show and get it set up as usual. Something had radically changed and she was at a loss to fix it. Half an hour later she had the basics cobbled together and we were able to do a full hour “without the bells and whistles”. We talked a lot about the archetypical mind and that is information beyond most peoples’ understanding, including ours, but we shared what we could and made plans to do it again. Carla and I enjoyed a spirited date and smiled ourselves to sleep. Carla said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. She walked another three laps today and we were able to get some body oil on her dry skin on two of those three trips. She got to hang out with her devoted cat, Chloe, while in the living room as well and they both enjoyed each other’s company.

I am hoping that today was the last of my “do whatever I can” days brought on by having to work around the roofers. It looks like they may have finished roofing both the house and the garage. Now I will try to finish the painting of both and then we will be ready to try to get home insurance again. We have new shingles on both structures, new paint, new wood, and all the ivy is off the house.

Gary was very busy today in the L/L office:

Did the weekly dance of bookkeeping. Sent a letter to the publisher and visited a friend at the post office who is being transferred to another location. Proofread Carla's "Notes to Our Readers" section and got that + the issue that Jim chose to Edgard for production of the summer Light/Lines Newsletter. Created a news bulletin for Wynn's upcoming Lo1 workshop that will feature Carla: http://www.carlawynncoalition.com/. (It appears that that you call in over the phone to join this event, and, after signing up, gain access to the audio from the past four sessions as well. If you enjoy the structure of the event and its promotion on the webpage linked to above, please give all credit and thanks to Wynn Free. L/L Research played no part in its construction.) Responded to email. Responded to the Gaylord representative regarding library software with questions. Assisted Carla on proofreading Sessions 23 – 28 of the "Lightly Edited" version of the Law of One and bounced those back to Tobey and Michelle. Responded to reader email and received the final seven transcripts of Homecoming 2012 from Jeremy. He single-handedly transcribed all of 2012 Homecoming and most of 2011. Many thanks Jeremy! And it is now officially one week with no book orders. They had been trickling to minimum numbers up to this point, and now have dried up. I'm thinking of chaining myself to an old Border's store to bring attention to our plight.

Our evening was the usual watching of television and hanging out together. I did make an appointment today for Carla to see her plastic surgeon on July 1st. He hadn’t requested it but by that time it will have been over five weeks since he has seen her wound and we would like his assessment of the situation by then. I said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. Kathleen came by today and relayed the word to us from Carla’s plastic surgeon that we should continue with our three dressing changes per day with no attention given to the undermining area. When you stick a long cotton swab back into a deep undermining like Carla has you risk introducing bacteria and other bad things into that area. Best to let it be so we shall do that.

Again I had to change my plans for painting some of the house today as the roofers were still puttering here and there and we would be in each other’s way. So I transplanted some wave petunias and then used cement caulk to seal some cracks here and there around the foundation of the house.

Gary was his usual busy self in the L/L office today:

This is for the past couple of days:

  • Carla and I knocked out Sessions 11 – 16.
  • Compressed, edited, and uploaded the next six Q'uo channelings to the BBS Radio server.
  • Completed the IC contracts for L/L Research.
  • Dialogued with Jochen, the German translator. I am hoping Edgard will be able to get the PDF's finished in the next couple weeks.
  • Wrote the Lo1 publisher a letter asking why they invariably ignore and/or reject those foreign individuals and firms seeking to secure the foreign-language rights.
  • Prepared the monthly MerchExp report.
  • Stopped by the PO Box.
  • Read this interesting article about a new dieting regimen: http://intermetu.com/2013/05/indian-hermit-lives-without-food-or-water-for-decades/
  • Met Lynn, Seph, and Walter for an evening of bowling!
  • Dialogued with Edgard, Tobey, and Steve T. regarding columns in the Lo1 and how to integrate Book V commentary into the upcoming book.
  • Assisted Steve E. here and there as he scrambled to iron things out when Bring4th went live on its new web host on Wednesday! I am writing of one point among others, not doing justice to the loads of behind-the-scenes, midnight-oil burning work that Steve had to dump into this project. THANK YOU, STEVE!
  • Continued Homecoming planning with Sam.
  • Carla and I completed Sessions 17 - 22 in the proofreading project, and we finished the book "The Way of Love", a great tale written by Nigel Watts about the relationship between Rumi and his beloved Shams, with plenty of creative license taken.
  • Attempted to post a news bulletin about the upcoming session that Carla is having with Wynn but found a major error and points in need of improvement before I could publish. Wrote Wynn.
  • Officially closed two different accounts no longer needed now that we are transitioning back to IC, a more accurate classification for our work.
  • Dialogued with our good friend over the pond in Sweden.
  • Enjoyed a good energy lunch with friends Jim and Carla

Our evening was spent watching a block of NCIS on television. We completed our day by watching the Colbert Report where the show was expanded to a full hour in order to host Sir Paul McCartney and his band. Stephen Colbert conducted an hilarious interview with McCartney who was able to hold his own quite capably with the funny guy. We didn’t realize that McCartney has written 71 top ten hit songs. Not bad for a kid from Liverpool! Carla said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. She did her usual three walks with visits to the living room to see Chloe, our little black kitty and to get her body oiled. Bethany came by after lunch and did Carla's nails a beautiful mahogany with gold sparkles. Gary and Carla spent part of the afternoon going over Tobey's "lightly edited" version of The Law of One which will become the Scholar's Edition.

I puttered in the yard this afternoon, my original painting plans for the rear of the house having been scuttled by the continued presence of roofers there. I transplanted four flats of impatiens in three different locations around the yard. I also repaired some brick work that the roofers had damaged and sprayed the hosta and some other plants with deer repellant.

Gary was busy again in the L/L office:

See: tomorrow.

Our evening was spent watching the new episode of NCIS and hanging out together. The sameness of our days doesn't seem to matter to either of us. We are both ritual oriented people and we both have the perseverance to stick with a project like getting Carla's back healed no matter how long it takes. One day this will all be a smiling memory. I said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. She was visited for lunch by Sephira V. and the talk lasted for a couple of pleasant hours before he needed to depart. Carla continues to take three walks per day and her wound is pretty much unchanged. On Mondays we take a digital picture of her wound and email it to her plastic surgeon to keep him appraised of its progress.

I did a few odd jobs outside today. There was one section of the retaining wall around the side fish pond that needing redoing and one portion of the fish pond itself that needed additional mortaring. To complete my work day I put together the bench stones that I brought back from Avalon last week. I put the new bench on the east side of the fire pit where old blocks and bricks used to be.

Gary reported his day in the L/L office:

Over the weekend I had an appointment with a tax professional to talk over L/L matters. Worked with Steve in his ongoing and large effort to transition Bring4th to a new web host, though my effort was that of a few snowflakes against a winter snowstorm. Met with Romi, one of our closest friends and L/L's computer guy. Sad for us but good (I hope!) for Romi, he will be returning to his native country this year pending the sale of his house. Relayed communication between Jim and spiritual seekers. Dialogued with payroll company on the closing of our account. Got Sam the Q'uo session and talked possibilities of Homecoming help. Responded to Mish re her interest to create a French version of the "Scholar's Edition" of the Law of One books. Dialogued with Austin about the upcoming move. Wrote Steve about publishing a couple transcripts to the website. Wrote Edgard about using our system to track work flow. Received the latest batch of Chinese transcripts from Terry for eventual publication to the website. Read a transcript of a speech that Richard Cook gave called, "Public Banking 2013: Funding the New Economy". I don't know anything about economics but found the desire to form an ethical, spiritually cogent system of money and banking to be very interesting.

Our evening was spent watching a block of NCIS, but we did find time for a lovely date that made us smile. Carla said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. The wound itself looks a little better in that the darker purple areas have been replaced by brighter red and the “feel” of the wound is that it is healing, especially on the bottom where new skin gives off a little blood each dressing change. We hope to find out Wednesday when Kathleen comes just how to treat the undermining portion.

I spent a couple of hours outside this afternoon weeding the rest of the yard. The daffodil leaves which I tied back  a couple of months ago were dead and dried enough to be pulled up so I was able to fill three 55-gal. garbage cans with them. Did I mention that we have a lot of daffodils in our yard? The flower beds look ever so much better now that they are  free of this debris and the underlying perennials are much healthier than in previous years when I didn’t have time to tie back the daffodil leaves.

We watched a block of NCIS for most of the afternoon and evening, but I did take time out to watch the end of the University of Louisville baseball game against Vanderbilt. Louisville won and is now headed to the College World Series in Omaha for only the second time in Louisville’s history. The magical year for Louisville sports continues. I said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.

Carla and I did our Morning Offering and then got her ready for her day. We have been putting body oil on her body twice a day now when we walk and stop at her bed in the living room. That has really helped her body out and we have been able to keep the oil off the Clinitron bed by doing a dressing change after the oiling so that by the time she gets back to bed the oil is all soaked in her skin.

Slowly but surely all of Carla’s rashes have disappeared from her body: hands, arms, feet, peri, chest, and shins. They must have just gotten tired because the dermatologist reduced our prescription crèmes to one and that one just on her hands. We are most grateful for that and hope that her increased skin health will carry over to her pressure wound at the top left of her skin graft.

I did a little painting and a little weeding outside today. I would have done a little more painting but I was aiming for the trim at the edge of the roof and the older I get the taller the second floor roof gets. I will eventually get it all.

Our evening was spent watching a bluegrass festival at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington that was being televised on the Kentucky Educational Television station. We threw in a couple recorded NCIS episodes and our evening was complete. Carla said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight.
