This is one self in a world of selves, one of the many of the One.

Warm greetings, beautiful people, with Love.

the Desiderata

Just a reminder, to those who have forgotten or have not read the Desiderata, how beautiful and profound the words are...  "the universe is unfolding as it should."

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

Remember to remember

Remember to remember

' ONE '

the (dictionary) Meaning:
- 1 - (one).. represents a single entity..

my understanding:
One = One Mind, One Being, One Concsiousness

Reason to know:
Empowerment

2. the Philosophy

Unus mundus, lit. "One world", is a term which captures the concept of an underlying unified reality from which everything emerges and returns to. It was popularized by Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Gustav Jung and refers to the interconnected universe

Its about remembering to remember (who you are).
Imagine forgetting who you are!
We spend much of our lives looking for answers which, when they come, feel already familiar.

The human race may be likened to a forgetful goldfish that swims circles in its bowl, wants desperately to be free of the glass. Is there a bowl at all?

The only limitations there are, are the ones we set ourselves. The one thing we have is choice. How to and when to repond to what we have to deal with. When one sees the picture as a whole rather than focusing on a pixel, it is easier to make the choice, as one will be aware of how that choice will affect the bigger picture.

It is all One. We are all of the same substance (mind matter?) and may manipulate this matter at our (practised) and (responsible) will.

Remember to remember..

Divine Imperfection

A thought:
Just as we are made up of forces and atoms, we are said also to be part of a larger organism, part of God Himself. What occurs in the human race is but a reflection of what is going on in the Deity. As Above, so Below.
If we, then, are evolving, growing and learning, then maybe that which we call God is also evolving.

Alice Bailey (Esoteric Healing, 1953, pg 10) says:

"Given the initial premise that Deity itself is working toward a perfection past our comprehension, it may be inferred that there may exist for the Gods Themselves and for GOD (as the LIFE of the solar system), certain limitations and certain areas or states of consciousness that still await mastering."

She suggests that our experience of evolution is merely a partial fragment of a greater objective. "Deity itself is on the road toward perfection," she says.

Bailey states that man's suffering is partially due to the process of God's Evolution - ie Divine Imperfection. Additional discomfort is caused by our individual inhibitions/issues/inheritance as well as the effects of humanity as a whole on the individual. And there is Karma, and its power to produce those re-adjustments which emerge out of the past and affect the present.

The question of God

".. the supreme reality of the universe .. is the Principle which forever remains what it was and will be. It never evolves, for it is outside of time .. Our deepest Being -the Overself- is a ray of this pure Mind .. When it is centralized as the observer through the Overself of all the innumerable separate observers, it is World Mind. When it is passively at rest, it is itself, Mind .. "  (Paul Brunton 'The Hidden Teaching Beyond Yoga, 1941)

"Mind" capitalised, is Paul Brunton's modern western term for what has been named the Absolute, the One, God, or the unfathomable Tao. Alice Bailey (Esoteric healing, 1953) speaks of an evolving Deity, and Brunton refers to a Supreme Mind that does not evolve. Similarly to MacDonald Bayne (What is Mine is Thine, 1946), Brunton describes "God" is none other than man's own Ultimate Self.

A summary between Bailey and Brunton's writing reveals this:

The Supreme Mind is constant - it is what it is. The Overself, however, as an emanation of this Supreme Mind, is an evolving Deity. When God expresses Himself in His various incarnations, He lives, and therefore experiences - and thus evolves. Evolves toward the reality that we are an emanation of the Supreme Mind existing through God, as God. Evolves toward the understanding that evolution is a state of Mind and that we are already perfect.

Mechanisms of the Soul

Alice Bailey (Esoteric Healing, 1953, pg 2-4)

Bailey refers (below) to the mechanisms employed by the soul when seeking manifestation.. Together they are the makeup of the body/form which is at the disposal of the soul in any particular lifetime. Disease and disharmony result from inhibition in any of these bodies.

The dense physical body is the response apparatus of the indwelling man. It serves to put that spiritual entity en rappaport with the response apparatus of the planetary Logos (the Life in which we live and move have our being).

The etheric body serves to vitalize and energise the physical dense body and thus integrate it into the energy body of the solar system. Just as the blood flows through our veins and arteries, the circulation of life-forces through the etheric bodies of all forms is the basis of all manifested life. It is an expression of the non-separatedness of All life.

The astral body (desire/emotional) body is the effect of the interplay of desire and of sentient response upon the self at the centre. The resultant effect is experienced as pain or pleasure and all the other pairs of opposites.

The mental body refers to the 'chitta' or mind stuff which an individual unit can use and impress.

The dense physical body and its 3 more subtle bodies are the makeup of man as well as the cosmos. As above, so below. Because we are part of a greater whole, when we heal ourselves we are healing others also, as well as the larger organism, the Deity in whom we live and move and have our Being.

Inter dimensionsional perception

What is a flower?

"We define a flower as a flower because it is not a table; it doesn't have the shape, color, or feel of a table. Thus, all that we define and think as real are only relative comparisons to each other. There is no absolute "flower", thus no thing stands alone as itself and therefore it cannot exist.. As humans we can only perceive what we do in relation to what else we see and and in this way we shape our reality.

Dimensions

Physicists speculate the existence of 9, 11, or even more dimensions. I think that if we were to perceive a flower in its "absolute", we'd have to be able to perceive it in all possible dimensions, compared against other objects in all possible dimensions. One of these dimensions would include time, the past, present, and future of the flower. Thus, in order to see truth, we'd be looking into infinity. Then again, there is the notion that everything in this universe is one and the same - it all tastes like chicken without the tastebuds - so nothing is really as we perceive with our current limited senses (we can't hear the dog whistle but the dog can). I look at my cat and I think, I see you as a cat, but maybe in your fullness (all dimensional bodies perceived), you are a saber tooth tiger. Some people see auras.  We certainly don't all see all there is to see.

Evolution

Right now, we are oscillating between the 3rd and 4th dimension; awake, we are conscious of 3 dimensions. When we dream, we venture into the 4th dimension. At the beginning of time, we would have existed in 1 and 2D, and then we jumped up to 2 and 3, etc, in a continual evolution of consciousness. Because I'm fascinated with apocalypses, whether or not they're real, I guess that in the intention for 2012 may be an increased vibrational rate that will move us into 4th dimensional beings, dreaming in 5D.
As the Buddhists say, there are an infinite number of universes, embedded within one another.

This journey of ours may be a very long one .  Maybe that is all there is? A constant evolving into higher rates of vibration?  What then comes after the 11th dimension?

Possible truths in an impossible Reality
Published by ChantL on September 4, 2012 9:02am.  Category: Poem

I was watching a movie (forget its name) about a guy who, like his father, had the ability to go back to past experiences and effect them.  He would use his diaries to take him there.  He realized that any means of storing memory would suffice, like a photograph/album or video recording. I pondered over this and some thoughts came gushing into my mind.  This is what they were:

Objects. Purpose.

Potential.

Portals. Passages.

Time Travel.

Avenues into the Akashic Records.

Memory.

Re-Membering (becoming again a member of the experience).

Re-Collection. (collecting again the data of the experience).

Objects storing memory ...

Photograph.

Video recording.

Diary.

Drawing.

Song.

Story,

Symbol.

(of what? from where? of who?)

Humans.

Storers of memory.

(like batteries, storing energy).

We have our objects

that we use to store our memories.

But we, too, are storers of memory

(the body, the heart, the mind, the soul).

I am a vessel,

a cup holding some liquid that is me,

my flavour, my experience, my memory of me.

If I use a cup to drink from,

use a camera to take a picture that

will remind me of the experience,

who, then, uses me as a photograph

to remember those moments I experienced as me?

If I am a flavour then who tastes me as being their tea?

Who uses me as this vessel that I am?

This vessel that carries the memories that I do?

Does God have a 'photo album' of experiences?

They are our experiences, and therefore his own experiences

as being every one of us, omnipresent.

He is the same energy living each experience

that we assume is our own,

parallel lives of the same Being.

He is every one of us

living as one of us

- Spirit having a collection of

human experiences...

If Spirit has a human experience,

then it must (being omnipresent)

have other experiences too,

every possible creature is also God.

Awareness of these characters within Himself

is God's great power,

and the ability to withstand

the memory of them all, simultaneously.

The ability to live consciously

is to be aware of God

(and therefore oneself,

as one of His experiences)

in All things,

coexisting with oneself in all other forms and faces.

The ability to live consciously

is to be aware of this Great Truth

- this communication with and

response to - oneself,

a living memory of God's experiences

of being Human..

To be or not to be

What do I want to be?

Every choice is a portal

and life is built on choices.

Every choice is a pixel

of a picture

a great big picture

made up of many pictures

(the tapestry of Life)

I make a lifetime of choices

and I am the common denominator

of those choices

The choices that I did not make linger

in the Aether -

parallel lives alongside the one we choose

Possible realities that we may have lived

and may still be living,

unaware to ouselves as we grapple

with the memory of this one experience.

What is dreaming?

Is it not possible that these are our parallel lives

(lived only whilst sleeping, oblivious to this one reality)

as our minds cross over the boundries within the greater reality

It could be that they appear to be nonsensical because,

in the true reality, nothing makes sense in relation to one reality or another.

We really don't know.

And maybe never will,

if we keep forgetting the lives we lived before.

The Akashic Records

are the Mind of God.

God's memory of all things, everywhere.

We are fragments of that memory.

We are God, remembering.

Who is to say that our lives are happening now?

Maybe it has long gone and God (we) is remembering

(re -membering - becoming again a member of those experiences

that made us human?)

What is Time?

There is no time and

there is only Time.

It is all happening Now.

Right now.

The whole of eternity happening Now.

What is Space?

There is no space

(it is all filled up with

allsorts of invisible things)

and yet

there is only space

(the space within the space within the space)

As above, so Below.

There is so much Truth in this

that we cannot quite comprehend

the simply profound brilliance thereof.

Who is to say that we have not had these experiences before?

Maybe we forgot and God (we) is recreating

(re - create - create again the story in which

we may excel at being human)

perfection being the first step in the symphonic cycle of eighths

the re-cycling of energy through the densities

re-creation of oppurtunities to grow and

re-membering past lessons learnt

The Music and the Story

I've come up with what

I think may be the answer:

God is a Dj

and the soul is a Dancer,

the music is the Life

and the universe our stage,

dancing the Story

as God turns the page.

my God!
Published by ChantL on September 4, 2012 7:18am.  Category: Poem

I can feel it in my fingers,
in the toes of my feet
like a tingle - electric -
pins and needles without
the numb feeling...
Some strange and excitable
beautiful thing rising up
in me to meet with its own
- God reaching for God -
throughout me is a shaking
as my soul shifts restlessly
and I become clumsy,
ill prepared for
the wave that overcomes
my body and being,
a power so much greater
than my understanding thereof
and I fall to my knees,
whisper feverish prayers
to my God. My God!

Reality and Dream

Midsummer Night's Dream

Puck:

" If we shadows have offended,

Think but this, and all is mended,

That you have but slumber'd here

While these visions did appear..."

Shift in the dreamspace

My dreams are becoming uncannily real. So much so that I find myself lingering on the edge of sleep in attempt to hold on to the remnants of dream. They linger. Wavering on the periphery of wakefulness.

Such adventures, and so vivid.  The dreams are becoming more full and more colourful and more epic than ever before.  Water features often.  Often I dream of enormous tidalwaves moving in over the land, people running everywhere madly trying to escape.

In the one dream I had a moment of amidst the chaos when I questioned, " Why are we running away?  Why are we afraid? "

I answered my dreamself, " Because we are afraid to drown..."

As I felt the waters collide into the space around me, the thought came to me that I could breathe underwater...

And so, when Fear abandoned me to my fate, I allowed the waters to wash over and around and immerse me, filling my lungs and my being. And then I realized, ".. I don't need to breathe at all !"

Did you ever have the feeling that the dreamstate is more than a mere play of the mind in a zoo of symbols?  Mind creates and projects this space and we as energy beings decide on a common reality in which to express and evolve ourselves.  It all appears to be quite real.  But so is it real for the patient of the hypnotherapist, she or he who is acting out for an audience what only they themselves have been conditioned to see.  And so what then of dreamstuff?  If it is real in the mind of the observer, then the dream is as real as any reality.  Except that the dream is not a common reality.  We did not agree to share that one.  It is our very own space away from this reality we call 'being awake'.

My partner and I sometimes say to each other, "catch you on the flipside.."

We joke that when we go to sleep, we are actually going to wake up.

" Meet you on the corner on 9th," I sometimes say.

We haven't managed to find each other yet, in a way that we both remember.

We are obviously not alone in musing about alternative realities.  The movie "INCEPTION" was good in that way -  Actor Leonardo da Caprio planted a seed in his wife's mind whilst in the dreamstate that "this world is not real" so as to get her to come back to the awakened state.  When they awoke after a lifetime in the dreamstate, she never quite came back into her old self.  She still had that notion in her head that this world was not real.  She eventually killed herself because she wanted to 'wake up again'.

Who can say?  Nobody.  No body that would be believed by everybody at any given time.  All we have left is to surmise.  And imagine.  Write books and make movies.  And dream.

Virtual Reality

Body swopping experiments:

Regarding what is real and what is not real to the observer, I found this info about Body swopping experiments to be worth mentioning:

"In a study presented by neuroscientists at Stockholm's renowned Karolinska Institute, we are shown how they got volunteers wearing virtual reality goggles to experience the illusion of swapping bodies with a mannequin and a real person".
See 'Body Swopping' for more..

Too Real these dreams not to be Real!

I had a series of adventures last night, remember everything, like I really was there. I was not even in a deep sleep, rather, at the edge of waking.  I remember all the emotions (all anxious and searching and sad) ... At the end of the dream I was trying to move but I couln't walk properly, felt battered and bruised.  My whole body hurt, but especially my legs.  My lower legs.  They hurt so bad and I kept falling over.

When I awoke, I was crying and crying and crying.

I woke up with the distinct feeling that dreams are real.  Not some silly adventure of the mind.

I figure that if the MIND is projecting everything that we experience, then who is to say that dreams are not real to the dreamer.  I still had the memory of the leg pain in my body when I awoke.

The mind is said to be projecting what we see and experience, and it has a body here, so we call this the real reality.  But in my dream I had a body too and I was very aware of physical pain that lingered on into my wakeful state, as did the emotional angst.

Mind is the common denominator in all that we exerience, reality and dream.... and so why, then, is a dream considered to be unreal, a figment of the imagination?  I was there, in my dream, and it was real.

It was my own personal other reality.  Waking up to a common reality, one that we share, is maybe all that this is - a reality that we as souls have agreed to co-experience so as to learn or do or experience whatever it is that we experience.

Parallel universes of reality may surely exist for each of us.  Many lives that we live and a conscious, common one that we share upon awakening.  But maybe in those other places/dreams, we also agreed to share that reality?  We don't remember when we wake up because that was a different reality, just as we don't remember our wakeful state when we are dreaming.

It's all very strange and confusing as one reality overlaps another.

What is Real anyway?

True Me
Published by ChantL on September 4, 2012 6:35am.  Category: Poem

This face is a collection of faces
moulded from the genic pool of
ancestral inheritance
It is not my face
It is their face this physical face
I give to this face
the light in these eyes
the lines or lack of lines earned
through grimace, laughter and tears
crevices shaped by years of
being Me
a notion of Me
It was never really Me
Living has been a lie
up until Now
It was never really Me
I find the mask dropping
slipping away
like clouds dissapating
revealing a blue sky and
a radiant sun
and that splendid light is Me
the real me

Stepping out of the world
and into my own Self.

Becoming
Published by ChantL on September 4, 2012 6:04am.  Category: Poem

Where do I begin
when there is no beginning?
To where do I turn when nothing surrounds me?
What does one say when words evade
and actions speak but nobody understands
the gestures that say so much more
than words ever could?
How do I stay sane
when crazy thoughts come knocking
at my door?
Voices of insanity
of incoherence echoing through
the empty halls of my mind.
Nobody is home.
Nobody abides here
Do you understand ?
This body
is merely a vessel,
an island on which to rest
my spirit wings
after tiresome flights through
sea and sky and
time and space.
Out here
there is no beginning
and no ending,
merely questions with no answers
- perpetual dreaming -
hovering between reality
and unreality,
unreality and surreality,
oblivious as to which is which.
My life is like an acid trip.
Both the peaking and the coming down,
where nothing is sure
and nothing is fixed
- undefinite and indefinite -
everything moving and
wavering and floating
( like clouds )
intangible and untouchable.
Clarity evades me,
slipping from my fingers
to form puddles at my feet,
dissipated clouds or
sanity liquidized
- call it what you will -
I see my reflection in them,
these puddles.
This is Me.
This wavering figure
that has no form nor face,
multifaceted like a diamond,
struggling to find
my true self
my true face
my real Me.
Is this normal?
Does everybody float
like this - fly like this,
fall like this?
Did somebody drug me as a child
or am I merely undergoing
some seemingly endless
metamorphosis?

Tao te Ching,
philosopher,
said that nothing is,
that everything is becoming..

Is this what is happening to me?
Am I merely 'becoming'?

What am I becoming then!?
How will I know,
when will I know,
will I know at all when I have become
whatever it is
that I am becoming?

Will there be a time of peace
where I am happy with what
I have Become?

And then what?
Does the cycle of becoming
continue on and on?

Children of Man
Published by ChantL on September 4, 2012 5:59am.  Category: Insights

I saw a thought provoking movie the other day... 'Children of Men'.

It is set in about 2027 and its subject is the fertility status of the world. There is, in the movie O% fertility. The chemicals in the air and what we consume, results in mass global infertility. The possibility of this occurring is not improbable.

This makes me think about Talismans. Some of the earliest Talismans used by humankind were believed to help a woman fall pregant and have a healthy childbirth. Fertility.

The carved figurine of mother Earth is one of the oldest objects found that is associated with fertility. It appears in many form variations and is usually a stout, curvaceous figure of a woman. It symbolizes our basic instinct - to survive.

The movie illustrates how even in futuristic times, these old figurines have their place. And having lost our connection with the earth, we are more vulnerable now than then.

More and more people are starting to question the nutrional content of their food, the presence of poisens in the water, the medication we take, the quality of the air we breathe and so on. Never mind the thoughts that we think! These factors play an important role in how we develop as a species and the type of human beings that the future will find. And if it will find any of us at all.

Alpha, Omega & God in Between.
Published by ChantL on September 4, 2012 5:48am.  Category: Jewellery

A client requested a 'sacred bangle'.. with specific details.

He wanted a bangle that would be a 'talking piece', one that would cause curiosity and questions that would allow for him to open up a conversation leading to a sharing of 'truth'.

Having an insight to Hebrew text, he brought some notes with him for us to read.. he wanted for me to have full understanding of the intention before making the bangle. It was also important to him that both my jeweller husband, Gary, and I should work on the bangle, as a marriage of the feminine and masculine energies. I was very excited to do the piece, as I spent many years in Israel and learnt there how to speak Hebrew.

The symbols had been carefully thought out so as to contain the beginning, the end, God and Eternity. The order of these symbols was important, as well as the size of the lettering (8mm high) and the width of the bangle(22mm). These numbers have special connotations. The bangle was to be flat and unobtrusive, falling to the background of the letters as the sky does for the stars.. looking aged and a bit battered. It was to represent the "Old", whereas the shiny letters would represent the "New" - a marriage of old wisdom to the modern world in which we live.

On the left is an "aleph', the A in Hebrew. This represents 'the Beginning'. The basic geomatria for Aleph is One, representing the One and only God who is the Master of the universe.
The Hebrew letters for God (Yahweh=Jehovah) sit at the centre of the bangle. These letters refer to God's name: "I Am that I Am", which captures 'the creation'.
To the right of this is the Omega symbol, representing closure.
There is an eternity symbol on either side of the bangle, representing the circle of life and its cyclical nature.

He was very happy with th result, and said " she dances in my perichoresis"...

(Perichoresis in Christian theology, refers to the mutual inter-penetration and indwelling of the Father and the Son. The doctrine is based on John's Gospel that "the Father is in the Son, and the Son in the Father.")   - ie 'we are One'.
