    Hi all Heart

Part of my personal path has shown me something about astrology and astronomy that I feel a deep need to share with others. I feel that it is very important to be aware of where the moon, sun, and planets are....but to do this....one MUST use astronomy. Astrology uses a fixed zodiac as of 2000 years ago, and this has been a huge blunder in mankinds history because the zodiacs positions to the sun, moon, and planets changes over time. Observations of the cosmos can be use a fixed design...if it does, there are many mistakes.

Due to the wobble of our Earth...the sun is not in the same location, on a certain day, in a certain month...as it was, 2000 years ago. Another blunder of the tropical zodiac is that it divided the signs into equal segments, even though the sun does not spend the same amount of time within each sign.

Lets use March 21st as an example to observe this change. Lets say we go back 4000 years to see where the sun rose on March 21st. We would noticed that it rose in Aries. Lets now go back 2000 years on March 21st. We would see the sun is now rising in Pisces. Today, on March 21st, the sun is still rising in Pisces, but in about 400-500 years, the sun, on March 21st, will rise in our new age of Aquarius. This is how we 'change ages'. The age is determined by where the sun rises on Spring Equinox, which is March 21st (sometimes March 20th).

As I was growing up...I was told by astrology I was Virgo. Virgo seemed to fit me rather well. In 2008, in the beginning of June, I was floored to find out the sun really rose in Leo on my birth. I was floored to find out that 80% of the signs astrology gives peoples are based on the signs as they were thousands of years ago...and they do not pertain to todays true solar signs.

So I began my search. I learned the only real way to find true positions was through real time observations...such as astronomy. I used sites like heavens above, Earth sky, and I downloaded a astronomy star gazer program called Stellarium. Again, my baffled mine remained in wonder for all of the changes that have taken place due to our little wobble.

As much as this pulls a rug of comfort from many that love using astrology sites....it is very important I feel for us to use real observations. I believe just observing where the sun, moon, and planets really are....we are allowed to synch with the cosmos around us. In a sense, its a experience of 'oneness' with the cosmos. This is the main reason I observe the sky...is for this synch. When I first started giving reverence to the sun in its true positions....it was like the sun noticed me just as much as I was noticing it. It was like the Universe was smiling at someone taking the time and care to understand its works. It was like I had unbuckled its restraints that man tried to place on it...2000 years ago with a fixed design.

So Im going to use this thread to post observations of the real night time sky. These observations should give people a chance to look up into the sky and really see where a planet is really at, or the sun and moon really is. This is a very powerful awareness...and it is very humbling to have the Universe notice you.

I wont get into horoscopes, but I might note now and then what a possibility could be by using a energy within a certain position. I think its more for each individual to take the positions and search within what the energy will pertain for you. Someone else cant tell you why Saturn may resonate with you so deeply. One person might see Saturn as trouble...while another resonates with Saturn to mean power....I look at Saturn as the council, this is something I took from the Law of One.

Ill list some links for others that find this curious. I encourage everyone to compare what I say to astrology sites...you will see they dont agree!! I then encourage you to see that astronomy shows the true positions...not the positions of the cosmos years and years ago. It is forever changing....there for, true astrology to use real positions of the cosmos...is a very hard and full time job, sense the positions are always changing.

Here is the home page for heavensabove...if yo scroll down, youll notice their astronomy section.
    http://www.heavens-above.com/

If you click on the 'sun' tab...it will show you exactly where the sun is for the day..today it is for Jan. 18..and what it shows defiantly wont agree with astrology, which is that the sun rose in Sagittarius today.
    http://www.heavens-above.com/sun.asp?lat...t=0&tz=CET

You can use the above page and click on 'previous' or 'next' buttons...and find out exactly what day the sun entered Sag. and exactly what day it will leave Sag.

YOu can do this with the moon tab on the front page as well! You can click on the planet summary tab on the hope page anytime and find out EXACTLY where each planet is.

The great thing about this site...is it using the 13th sign Ophiuchus...making all the info accurate. If the sun, moon, or planets is in Ophiuchus...it will tell you. Ophiuchus is important for our times today and our future. I leave this for others to research themselves, for the path of researching and studying will lead individuals towards things that resonate with them, and this wont be the same for all people.

Something I highly recommend is downloading a free program called 'Stellarium'. You can go back in time with this and see how the cosmos looked way back then...you can see why the zodiac did not include Ophiuchus thousand of years ago before it became fixed, you can go forward in time and see how things will keep changing for particular days. On Stellarium....look up your birthday for todays time (the real year you were born). Now....go back 2000 years ago....you might see why a astrologist tells you that you are one sign...but astronomy will tell you something different. Some people are TRUE signs...my mother is a true Taurus...she fits into the slot of Taurus 2000 years ago and today as well. But 2000 years from now...she would not, it would eventually change on her. If she wanted to incarnate here, 2000 years from now, as a Taurus..she would have to come in on a different date then her birthday is today.

I believe there is secrets to past incarnations in this observation of real positions and what the real positions were in the past.

So later today, Im going to add some real time observations for others, some might be observable in the night sky, and some may night...but it all will be backed using astronomy.

I hope I have grabbed an interests from others here...I hope others can step out of the box a bit and take this into being possibly very important for our need to 'sync' with the cosmos.

Ill be back soon with some positions for today...but one can start for themselves if they wish by using the sites listed above. I encourage anyone to observe the sites as I go along with this (I will try to post things weekly...and would love if others chimed in to help this happen, I encourage others to add real time positions of the cosmos here in this thread to help offer others the info for syncing with our beautiful spheres. I also encourage others to add what positions is resonating with them, and possibly share what feelings they receive when realizing a certain position.

I think it was all meant to happen this way...I think we are in the time that this was to be discovered...and learned...that it was to be observed.

    Heart

    Hi again!

First, Im going to post a link for others to find out their true solar sign. Please be prepared...for the sign you thought you were might not be where the sun really rose on your birth.

    http://www.truestarsign.com/

Before I start with observations for today, I think its important to go back a few days since we had the solar eclipse that recently occurred.

The morning of Jan 15th, within the first hour of the day, there was a solar eclipse within Sagittarius. The moon passed in front of the sun in Sag. while Venus and Mercury were close by in Sag. as well. Before the day ended....the moon moved out of Sag. and into Capricornus. As the moon moves away from the sun, we have a new moon which looks like a the edge of a fingernail in the sky. Venus and the Sun will move this same direction, soon entering Capricornus.

Jan. 20th will be the first day the sun rises in Capricornus.

Today we have a chance to see the new moon along with using this to locate Jupiter in Aquarius. Jupiter has spent alot of time in Aquarius recently, seeming to not move much at all...but Jupiter is fixing to pack the bags and start on its travels again..moving out of Aquarius in just a couple more months.

Here is a link showing what we can look for tonight with the moon and Jupiter. Be looking at early evening towards the west of the setting sun, for we know that the moon is still close to the direction of the sun right now and the new moon will not be in the sky for long tonight. If you happen to catch it, then look for a bright shining light underneath it, you will see Jupiter and will be facing the direction of our great water barer.

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-01-18/url

For those that are interested in Saturn, very powerful it is...here the link below will show Saturn in Virgo and talk about its retrograde.

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-01-13/url

Its interesting that the day before the solar eclipse, that Saturn seems to move backwards or not move at all (retrograde).

The first sign of new moon most likely showed itself yesterday early in the evening, but tonight the sliver of the moon light will be more noticeable.

So for you true Sag. the sun is still in your sign today...but will leave soon and enter Capricornus on the 20th.

For those true Aquarians, the moon and Jupiter are together dancing in your direction.

For any true Pisces...the moon will enter your sign tomorrow and bring you energies.

A planetary summary for today can be found on the link below....

    http://www.heavens-above.com/planetsumma...t=0&tz=CET

The link above might be one that updates daily...so Im not sure that if one clicks on it after today if they will see what the summary was for today, the 18th, or if it will automatically update for what ever day it is when checking it. We will see....

In the east...Orion is still very noticeable, and can be observed climbing into the night sky...as it climbs...the 3 stars of the belt of Orion will point downward...right to Sirius.

Something always of interests that can be observed throughout the year in the big dipper and north star. The big dipper circles around the north star throughout the year. The end of the ladle of the big dipper consists of 2 stars that line up directly pointing to the north star always. As winter leaves us and spring approaches, one can notice the ladle moving up from below the horizon of the ground and sky....and it will continue to do this a little further every passing day. In the summer time, the big dipper will be high above the north star, clear as day for all to see. But still, right now, you can go out late at night and notice the tip of the ladle start to show itself as it rises. You can always find the north star with this.

I hope I gave some interesting things to observe with.

    Peace to all
    Lynette

If there is anyone with Stellarium that knows how to save a screen shot and then posts that onto a thread...I NEED YOUR HELP! For some reason, my computer wont save the screen shots I take...and this tech. will bring some great examples for others to see exactly where certain things are at a certain time. I would love to post a screen shot for the solar eclipse on the 15th...if anyone can do this...HeartHeartHeart to you if you can take the time and post it here.

    Hi Lynette,

As students of the Law of One we get to explore astrology from a little-known perspective. I'd like to look at what Ra has to say about the subject, and then speculate about how that relates to the material you're sharing. I believe that this will be an area rich in opportunities to learn from each other. My interpretations and questions may well be off track, but I think they are serviceable as starting points for inquiry.

I would like to focus first on Ra's discusssion of the archetypes, their use, and astrology as a way to learn about them. In future posts I'd then like to explore how the precession of the equinoxes might or might not alter the value of these understandings.

As I see it, Ra said a sincere, deep study of astrology is valuable, because it is one of three ways to learn about the archetypes.

Quote:The archetypical mind, when penetrated lucidly, is a blueprint of the builded structure of all energy expenditures and all seeking without distortion. This, as a resource within the deep mind, is of great potential aid to the adept.

The other two ways to learn about the archetypes are study of tarot's major arcana and kaballah's sephiroth.

For each of these systems of understanding, the purpose of study is to learn enough about the archetypes in order to find inner enlightenment. This inner enlightenment is a personal relationship with each of the archetypes, an understanding cannot be shared with others. "It is more nearly well if the adept go beyond whatever has been written and make such correspondences that the archetype can be called upon at will."

To my mind, the metaphor is that we can introduce our friends we already know to our other friends they haven't met yet. Whether they will develop their own friendship is up to them. The three systems are ways to introduce us to the archetypes. We then make our own personal relationship with them, and just as we might appreciate different qualities in other people, we will each find different personal meanings within the archetypes.

Through this process of "meeting the archetypes," so to speak (my term, not Ra's), we become equipped to choose our preferred patterns of evolution, rather than merely responding to circumstances.

Quote:The value of that which you call astrology is significant when used by those initiated entities which understand, if you will pardon the misnomer, the sometimes intricate considerations of the Law of Confusion. As each planetary influence enters the energy web of your sphere those upon the sphere are moved much as the moon which moves about your sphere moves the waters upon your deeps. Your own nature is water in that you as mind/body/spirit complexes are easily impressed and moved. Indeed, this is the very fiber and nature of your journey and vigil in this density: to not only be moved but to instruct yourself as to the preferred manner of your movement in mind, body, and spirit.

I added the emphasis because I see this as a very key point. The deeper our study of astrology, the more aware we are of outside influences, and therefore, the less we are influenced! With awareness, we are increasingly able to choose our own path. This matter of choice with the use of archetypes is, as far as Ra knows, developed to a greater extent by our own Logos than anywhere else. "It is the result of many, many previous experiments in articulation of the One Creator." Therefore, when we connect with the archetypes and direct our own "preferred manner of movement," we are at the leading edge of the evolution of the universe!

    Hello Questioner!

I appreciate your addition here, I was hoping someone would join in discussion of the topic.

I think the things you pointed out from the LOO are very important. Each archetype will have a different relation for each individual, this is why I encourage others to seek what is a personal understanding pertaining to them...and not take anothers word for it on what something means. I gave a simple example of the energies of Saturn, pointing out what it means to me might not be what it means for another.

The comment about the moon affecting and pulling on the waters as a comparison to how energies of the spheres can affect us as well is spot on.

Everything that we can see, hear, touch, smell, and fell...can be an archetype. When I was confused about what the archetypes were...Carla mentioned a few examples of archetypes in a chat session...she commented how the waters, mountains, trees, and grass were all archetypes as well. I realized, everything is an archetype. The planets, sun, moon, and stars...are also. We can have a personal relation as we give awareness to each and everyone of them. Someone might learn about humility from one archetype...while another will learn about perseverance from teh same archetype. The personal seeking is very important.

IMPO....todays form of astrology rapes us of that personal relation. We are told what something is to mean for us...instead of seeking it on our own path of experience. We should all seek out where we are in the Universe, and what seems to affect us when we give reverence and awareness.

The circle of animals are archetypes, just the same as everything else. The circle of the zodiac was formed well before the animals were added...and a totally different culture added the animals then what formed the circle to begin with. We are a part of every sign. Every sign is a part of us.

Someone might find a resonating experience when learning that they were born under a certain sign. For at their birth, the signs were already a part of our concept of 'time' and it is possible (again, my opinions here) that our fragmented self could choose to come during a time of a certain sign. And not only a particular sign...but more important...a certain season, a certain moon phase, a certain formation of the planets ect....

As much as I dont get caught up into horoscopes and using the cosmos for predictions...I have experienced great things by being aware of the cosmos and their what the true perspective from Earth would be. It helps me paint this image in my mind of where exactly Im sitting in this vastness...and where everything else is sitting around me. It allows me to feel a oneness with the sky...just the same when I sit with nature and give reverence to the trees, grass, flowers, birds...I feel a oneness with my mother Earth who my physical body is formed of.

We are all a Lion, Crab, Scorpion, Twins, man, Ram, Fish, Flowing waters.....ect. It does one good to find that part within and learn what they resonate with in that archetype and what they dont resonate with in each archetype. Each one has many attributes. It is and should be...a personal path of understanding and learning. That is why I am going to try to only offer positions and placements....so that everyone can draw from the info themselves if there is anything of importance for them to take in and observe themselves.

I would really love feedback...and if people think Im off my rocker...that is fine too!! Let me know why you think observing the cosmos dont make a matter much to you! The main reason I observe...is because I love to. I love to look in the sky and know I can find Jupiter or know that the moon will be seen early and not late...I love to know that Orion is a seasonal constellation and its not one I will see all year. What I find of important for my own observance might not be the same to another....and I encourage anyone that feels a 'tug' within on a certain note or word...to search it. Observing brings my in sync with the world around me. And I swear, the Universe is as aware of us as we are of it.

    Looking forward to more thoughts!!
    Love Lynette
I was quickly reminded within me after I posted...how todays 'form' of astrology is somewhat like religions.

You go to a 'outside' source...and are told what something should mean for you and to you.

Instead of seeking out the meaning for yourself and understanding for you within, personally. Just as much I think religion was meant to happen that way (because the real seeker will seek past the given)....I also think astrology (todays form or it) was meant to happen the way it did...leaving a door within it for the real seeker...to not just take...what is given.

If a person is so sure that there is energy coming through because as astrology site told them so, or the tropical zodiac tells them of a position ect....then why wouldnt that person try to go outside at night at be at one with the energy that they fortell of or count on?? And if they do go outside...and seek the night sky...for the source of the energy...would they be shocked to find that it wasnt what they thought it to be?? Would they be shocked to find that the planet they were counting on that was to be in their sign that month...was not in their sign at all?? And then....would there not be a whole new and unique opportunity awaiting them....to continue to learn and seek why this was so?? Or would they just shrug their shoulders and go on...or would they...not eve look in the sky...for further connections??

I remember as a younger adult, I was taught a certain way to seek Jesus and to knock at his door. Often, I did this...and not really getting much answer or response. When I left prior mans understandings behind me, and formed my own path to seek this teacher who I felt taught wise humble things....when I gave myself to God without the restrictions of my religion and then asked Jesus to be my guide....guess what...thee answered me!! And the things I was shown were not in the books nor passed on within that box I grew up in.

    Who would of thought....

First I just want to say...I hope this thread is welcomed amongst everyone here. I know its a bit against the grain for some because the info I give you will likely go against astrology sites. I hope everyone can keep an open mind and use this to observe their night sky and mabey find a sync for them with the cosmos. As things build up to our 2012 date that is so anticipated....you will gain insight through this thread to where the center of the galaxy is. If this thread stays strong (I hope Im not always talking to myself...but if that is the case, Im pretty good at that too Blush) there will be many observations I will offer for those interested in such things.

The sign often not heard of through astrology, Ophiuchus, is a main marker for the center of the galaxy. It is so interesting to me that this 13th sign entered our zodiac line when Jesus was here on Earth...and that this is in the direction of the center of the galaxy.

So enough about that...there are some cool observations coming up...and the moon can be your tool to find them.

Mars will be coming into opposition. This is meaning that it will be opposite of the sun. To get a better idea of this...think of a full moon. When the moon is full, it is opposition of the Sun. Its like the Earth is sitting in the middle of the Sun and what ever is in opposition from it. As the moon gets fuller...it is moving away from the Sun. When the moon is full, it will be in the East, as the Sun is in the West. Also note, in the morning of a full moon, you can still feel its energy. Look at the Sun in the East in the Morning of a full moon....and know the moon is in the west...opposite of the Sun.

Mars....will soon be in opposition. But you can start to notice it now...rising in the East...shoring after sunset. On the 29th of Jan. Mars will be in full opposition to the Sun, and us, Earth...will be in between Mars and the Sun. You should have no trouble pointing out the red light in the East.

On the 23rd...use the moon to face the direction of the Ram (aries).

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-01-23/url

On the 27th, the moon will be in the East direction, but not in total opposition, because its not totally full yet. But here is a good marker to find Mars on the 27th. Every 2 years the Earth is in between the Sun and Mars. ALso, this is the brightest you will see mars until March 2012.

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-01-27/url

    From above
Quote:Earth swings between Mars and the sun every other year, although at progressively later dates. Earth will next lap Mars in March 2012. After that, Earth will lap Mars in April 2014.

This isn’t the best possible opposition of Mars, but it’s still a grand time to see the red planet. Mars is out all night long now. It looks like a bright reddish star, although it shines with a steadier light than the twinkling stars. Look for Mars in the eastern sky at nightfall – highest in the sky around midnight – and in the west as morning dawn starts to light the sky.

By the way, the planet directly about-face of Mars at nightfall is the even brighter planet Jupiter. But Jupiter sets at early evening, while Mars shines all night long!

    On the 29th...

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-01-29/url

    From above
Quote:The moon and Mars are near each other for good reason. The moon looks full when it’s most directly opposite the sun in Earth’s sky. And, because it’s now at opposition, Mars is also most directly opposite of the sun in our sky. So the moon and Mars are near each other tonight, on this special night.

The moon and Mars are both about at their closest to Earth now, but they’re nowhere near each other in space. This year’s closest full moon is less than 360,000 kilometers away. Mars is nearly 100 million kilometers from Earth now – it’s about 62 million miles distant.

Why is Mars so close now? The answer is that Earth – in its smaller, faster orbit around the sun – is passing between the sun and Mars today. So look for Mars and the moon tonight. These two worlds will rise in the east around sunset – be highest in the sky around midnight – and they’ll set in the west tomorrow around sunrise.

ON the 20th of Jan...if anyone wants to find Leo...again...look for the moon. If you want to face the direction of the crab for cancer, your facing the right direction, just look above the moon.

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-01-30/url

Quote:Our chart shows the eastern sky for around 8 to 9 o’clock tonight. The planet Mars shines brightly above the full-looking waning gibbous moon.

Quote:The moon and Mars shine in front of two different constellations of the Zodiac. Mars lights up Cancer the Crab, while the moon resides in Leo the Lion. By the way, zodiacal constellations make up that rather narrow band of stars through which the sun, moon and planets forever travel

Use the info for what you find fits your curious mind and your gut feeling. Mabey you feel the need to search myths about mars, or history about mars in the LOO...Mabey you feel that just observing Mars or the Moon while Earth sits between the Sun and the Moon or the Sun and Mars....is what best suits you.

Each to their own...always...Im just giving the info for you to find things in the night sky that might interests you.

    Heart
Im already looking forward to our Spring Equinox. Im hoping to build up this thread so everyone can have a good idea of the Sun and its positions by this time. The Spring Equinox is often by ancients considered the first day of a new year. It is good to observe this and where the sun is on this day for this is how the 'ages' is determined. The Sun is moving its way through the signs towards Pisces...the age we are currently in. Some say we are already entering Aquarius....I find this not to be so for another few hundred years at least. My personal path prepares me for the Spring Equinox (and I am already preparing) because for me, it is a time to fast and cleanse my body, mind, and heart. A time of forgiveness for others as well as the self. As many look forward to new year (Jan 1st) a couple months in advance...I do the same with the Spring Equinox.

Am I overloading anyone...is this all too much info too fast? Please let me know what you like and dont like about my rambles. I know I talk alot *smiles*

This is a beautiful way to think, and such a warm-hearted relationship to our environment.

I am surprised, however, that this seems to be a different definition of archetypes than the Ra messages. As I read the Ra messages, they seem to very definitely refer to a very particular collection of 22 entities or energy patterns.

Without taking anything away from the awesome grandeur of this environmental vision, I'd like to focus for now on the Ra quotes about archetypes and astrology. That is more than enough to study for now and I don't want to get confused from multiple uses of the same word.

For the same reason I'd like to set aside the animal correlations right now, then add them back into the discussion after you've had more opportunity to establish the framework of your understanding.

I think you mentioned something so very important:

Quote:The personal seeking is very important.... We are told what something is to mean for us...instead of seeking it on our own path of experience. We should all seek out...todays 'form' of astrology is somewhat like religions. You go to a 'outside' source...and are told what something should mean for you and to you. Instead of seeking out the meaning for yourself and understanding for you within, personally.

Yes! I totally agree with that. That's the #1 reason why I feel such a strong draw to the Law of One material.

I have noticed a whole lot of "imposed recipe" format astrology on the Internet. The astrology sites that resonate with me - although they might be wrong about the dates - consistently remind people that their own heartfelt choices are the most powerful force in their consciousness. The planets and times give us opportunities to choose, with some choices made easier than others, but the decision is still ours.

Quote:We are all a Lion, Crab, Scorpion, Twins, man, Ram, Fish, Flowing waters...
Yes! I'll mention in passing that I also very much appreciate the Enneagram concept that we each should be free to choose and use any type of psychological energy whenever it is most appropriate. One particular type of energy may be most comfortable, and may even be an area of giftedness. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to honor and use all the other types to balance our lives.

    Quote:I would really love feedback...

Keep on going, you're doin' great! Heart

OK, where I want to go with this next is something kind of difficult to put into words. But since when has that stopped me. Wink

We're told in the Law of One that our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, expectations, all influence our experiences. And when many people share a particular set of expectations, they find themselves in a version of reality where those expectations pretty much come true. In this way those who seek light or darkness find the world around them more and more of what they expect. We're told that this means prophecy is limited because people could choose to welcome different energies into the situation. With me so far?

Now when the connection between archetypes and astronomy cycles was set up thousands of years ago, creating astrology, the earth had a different orientation in galactic space than it does now. So the times of the year no longer have the same connection to the astronomy cycles that they used to.

Here is my question. Is it possible that human consciousness over thousands of years has so strongly associated the archetypes with particular dates, that the ancient timings of astrology still apply today... even though the planets are now in different constellations? Somewhat like some places can feel full of positive or negative energy, even though the historical people and circumstances are no longer there?

Wow, looks like I'm a Leo, too. It's funny, because I always thought "I should be a fire sign, not an earth sign." and I never got why I landed in Virgo. Still, I can see just as many Virgo traits in me as Leo traits. Of course, I think astrology goes a lot deeper than what most people give it credit for. It isn't about predicting people's behavior, but in simply being a tool to explore the avenues of the self. Thanks for these very helpful links!

Astrology is a multidimensional study. It like the teachings of the Christ have been corrupted by the same groups of beings that have been attempting to enslave MAN for 2 millenium... All is connected and all is ONE and part of the same whole... this is why Planets and Star Constellations influence our lives... because we are all part of the same Fabric of Life...

The Tarot is absoutely a very fine way in which to learn Self and thus learn about Others for all are part of the Self. LOL
    Thanks for the new links!

I explored the link for the sun signs and discovered that they calculated that the Sun was in Sag. at the time of my birth... interesting stuff. This would explain why when I had my chart done many many moons ago that the Astrologer was very mystified she said I was more like an old souled Aries or a Scorpio... I laughed and have sense called myself a Fire Water sign... turns out she was on the right track. My husband is a Libra according to this site which explains alot as he is nothing like a moody and dark Scorpio... LOL I find this very very funny which If I were really a Capricorn I would not find any humor at all in this at all!

Life is what you make it and if you don't like that box of chocolates go buy a new box and try them instead...TongueBigSmile

    Hi guys and gals!

    Questioner...you stated....
Quote:Here is my question.

I think the reason that the ancient timings of astrology can still apply today is for 2 reasons. First, all the signs are a part of us. Second, there is power in a simple thought. If one believes there is a certain planet retrograding in their sign, and they believe this will affect them, then surely this thought is creating something, and we all know he power of attraction. I am careful though to say that we havent been missing something very powerful by using what has been given and not observed. Could there be signs in the sky, a clock that will resonate within us of a certain time coming? Could the idea of what the Bible says 'And I give the stars to you as signs' go much deeper with us? Could this 13th sign of a man holding a snake be a marker that tells us soemthing of the time we are in? I could go on and on with both sides of the fence I think, pros for both ways.

Farmgirl...thanks for adding here! It is so true that we are a part of the many and all...so it is like a box of chocolates. I think though, if we find a chocolate that we dont like...it is good to seek out why we dislike it. Is it something within us we are choosing to not face...or does it scream warning do to its carnal image and nature? We may find something that we choose not to face, for it makes us uncomfortable to face it. I had to dig down deep sometimes to find the reasons why I had to face things, I didnt like it, but I knew its worth as well.

Growing up, Virgo kinda rubbed be wrong. I was a tom girl, I wasnt much into the fertility that I felt Virgo stood for. It was when I became pregnant with my first child, I felt Virgo within me. I used this archetype to find a self, within myself, that I had not been in touch with. Virgo soon fit well with me and I loved being a mother. So since I have tapped that Virgo within me, even though the sun did not rise there I know now at my birth, I still claim Virgo along with my Leo...and Leo brought new things for me for the path that was ahead of me. It makes sense for me so deeply. I figure through life, with changes, I will tap into other selves within that could pertain to another sign. Im open to that and I hope willing to face them all within me. Im open to the idea that I could of been born of Earth before under different signs..and by observing them all, I could tap into unconscious feelings and thoughts.

I am a very guilty conscious, always worrying if Im taking up too much room or over stepping someone else around me. Surely this is a nature within me of another sign, for I dont see that nature in Leo or Virgo.

Personal paths are all so different, personal seeking of meaning is something we all seem to agree on.

Something interesting about Scorpio is that some cultures saw this as a bird, animal of the air...instead of animal of the ground. So again, we find a place where one can make a choice of what resonates with them.

There is no need to keep eating something that disagrees with you... thus create a new box of chocolates and explore that... for years I took that which disagreed with me and tried to find the Love that was there... and found that this box of chocolates disagreed with me and my path--- no need to stay in something that is not working!!! To do so is a waste of time that could be spent elsewhere!

Great point and as I mentioned, not one I've seen brought up very much in the study of astrology. I'm really glad for your focus on that idea.

That's what I was getting it. Thank you for extracting the key point from my tangle of words.

OK, I'm ready to explore the whole concept you brought up about obsolete timing references in classic astronomy. Bring it on! BigSmile

There's another huge life lesson for me. This year I plan to discuss some of my personal story about how I feel obligated to stay when that doesn't help anyone. I also hope to get some more of this great positive reinforcement from you about choosing my own favorite box of chocolates. Smile

You made me BigSmile ear to ear. Its funny how a phrase such as 'bring it on' can make one feel so welcomed.

Another time of choosing for each individual, at the same time, great advice for ones that are overloaded or tapped out.

My entire life has been a life of me placing myself in situations that would be hard on me. The men I choose, the friends I become close with, and the family I feel I have incarnated with...all have the potential to wear on me. I often have to balance this with positive things and I believe that is another reason I am a mother of 3 gems.

Why have I stayed in situations where the chocolates were not satisfying...? Its simple...because I felt I was of use. For some this might not be easy and for some their purpose is different. For me, it seems I can handle alot...in a neutral mode. It does have times of getting to me, but I so often can see the rewards of what another learns through me sticking things out, through persevering, through remaining humble and calm, through offering patients when all they can do is loose it, through offering love when their carnal reaction wants to hate. This is not a path I would suggest to anyone, for only the person can know if their path is serving purpose somehow that is worth the hardship.

There have been times where I had to choose to leave the situation, for the vibration was too hard to hold anymore. It is an individual choice and if someone is not finding comfort in their situation...they have every right to go and seek that comfort in another box of chocolates most defiantly.

Or mabey I am just more stubborn then most Angel

    Much love

I spent a good 30 years staying where the cataylst was challenging at best and intolerable at worst. Through is it all I remained a beacon of Light that was battered and almost extinquished through abuse. When it became clear that by staying in such situations would cause harm to that which was innocent I decided to buy a new box of chocolates and kept tasting and discarding until I had a box of chocolates that was of the highest gossamer quality and filled my soul and all around me with the Light of Love and the Joy of experience.

I now act with service through an international prayer group for the transmutation and anchoring of Light upon the EARTH and into all that choose to particpate and accept the Light and Love. My days of physically transmuting MANS' miscreations is no longer a role in which It behooves me to take on... I honor all those that do this service for Humanity!

I understand what you are saying.

A movie I watched last night said something of the nature....

'I left pieces of my heart in many places, but I realized I barely was left with enough of it to keep myself alive.'

I do think the path I walk now is temp. and somehow will direct me to be a holder for a vibration in a bigger way for the Earth at some point instead of personal relations with people.

My best to you and yours

Just a little update for any who wish to follow the path of the moon...they can also find the direction of the sign they were born in (please see the 2nd post, 1st link-for true birth sign).

We now have the sun in Capricornus until Feb. 16 when it will rise in Aquarius.

Moon will be in Taurus this evening.
Jan. 27th moon will be in Gemini
Jan. 29th moon will be in Cancer (full moon and Mars is in opposition)
Jan. 31st moon will be in Leo
Feb. 2nd moon will be in Virgo
Feb. 5th moon will be in Libra
Feb. 7th moon will be in Scorpius (some know this as the eagle)
Feb. 8th moon will be in Ophiuchus
Feb. 9th moon will be in Sagittarius
Feb. 12th moon will be in Capricornus (remember, the sun in in Cap./this means a dark moon)
Feb. 13th moon will be in Aquarius
Feb. 15th moon will be in Pisces (possible first site of crescent new moon)
Feb. 16th moon still in Pisces, Sun enters Aquarius-new crescent will be seen)
Feb. 19th moon will be in Aries

As we build up to Spring...Orion will be crossing our night skies and getting ready to descend below the western horizon. When Orion starts to set in the west...Scorpio will be rising in the east before the sun. Scorpio rising in the east is a sign of spring coming. Orion setting in the west is a sign of winter coming to an end. Another sign of spring coming is the big dipper making its way up, on the right side of our North Star.

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-02-03/url

Quote:By the way, at this time of year, Betelgeuse’s constellation – Orion the Hunter – ascends to its highest point in the heavens in the evening, symbolically reaching the height of his powers. As night passes – with Earth turning eastward under the stars – Orion has its inevitable ‘fall,’ shifting into the southwestern sky by late evening. Orion slowly heads westward throughout the evening hours and will plunge beneath your western horizon in the wee hours after midnight.

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-02-07/url

Quote:Will you see the constellation Scorpius the Scorpion’s stinger stars below the waning crescent moon in the cold dawn tomorrow? You’ll need a clear, unobstructed view to the southeast to spot the stinger stars – Shaula and Lesath – flickering by the horizon.

If you can’t spot these stars tomorrow, try again later this month. The stars at the end of the Scorpion’s tail are also known as the Cat’s Eyes.

For the Pawnee, who roamed the prairie of Kansas and Nebraska. the sky was a calendar, and the stars foretold the change of seasons. It is believed that the Pawnee called the stars on the Scorpion’s stinger the Swimming Duck stars. These stars are now coming into view around dawn’s first light, or shortly before dawn.

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-02-12/url

Quote:A well-known trick for finding the North Star, or Polaris, is that the two outermost stars in the bowl of the Big Dipper point to Polaris. Those stars are Dubhe and Merak. They are well known among amateur astronomers as The Pointers.

Can’t find the Big Dipper? Yes, you can!

It really does look like a dipper, and it’s pretty bright. You just have to look for it at a time when it’s visible. And that’ll be tonight, and for many nights to come over the coming weeks and months … in the north in mid-evening.

2nd star to the right, straight on till morning Tongue

    Happy hunting!
    Lynette
Wanted to post a segment from the Law of One...talking about some of the planets.

    http://www.lawofone.info/results.php?ses...30&ss=1#12

"Questioner: Thank you. Can you give me a brief history of the metaphysical principles of the development of each of our planets that surround our sun, their function with respect to the evolution of beings?

Ra: I am Ra. We shall give you a metaphysical description only of those planets upon which individual mind/body/spirit complexes have been, are, or shall be experienced. You may understand the other spheres to be a part of the Logos.

We take the one known as Venus. This planetary sphere was one of rapid evolution. It is our native earth and the rapidity of the progress of the mind/body/spirit complexes upon its surface was due to harmonious interaction.

Upon the entity known to you as Mars, as you have already discussed, this entity was stopped in mid-third density, thus being unable to continue in progression due to the lack of hospitable conditions upon the surface. This planet shall be undergoing healing for some of your space/time millennia.

The planet which you dwell upon has a metaphysical history well known to you and you may ask about it if you wish. However, we have spoken to a great degree upon this subject.

The planet known as Saturn has a great affinity for the infinite intelligence and thus it has been dwelled upon in its magnetic fields of time/space by those who wish to protect your system.

The planetary entity known to you as Uranus is slowly moving through the first density and has the potential of moving through all densities."

I think on the 29 when mars is in opposition of the sun, and Earth sits between the two spheres....is a good time to try to find Mars in our skies and send love for healing.

    Hello fellow star gazers!

Spring is coming, can you feel it? At least for us in the US.

Tomorrow is a great night for some connecting with the stars and moon. What I consider to be a great night is when I can use the moon to know what it is I am looking at.

For Virgos, the moon will show you Spica as well as Saturn. Saturn is tied deeply to many here on Earth. Spica is tied to much history about the 'seed' of the virgin. Of course everyone may have their own thoughts on what the moon, Saturn, and Spica may mean...but for sure, they all carry energies that connect to us as well as everything around them, all things are connected.

I believe this energy can be looked at as like a braid of hair connecting all the spheres and life itself.

    So what to look for?

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-03-02/url

Quote:Last night, the moon was close to the planet Saturn on the sky’s dome. Tonight, the moon will pair up with Spica, the constellation Virgo’s brightest star.

Our chart shows the eastern sky for fairly late tonight, around 10:00 p.m. That’s when the waning gibbous moon and the star Spica will be low in the sky, below the planet Saturn. The moon and Spica will travel westward across the sky throughout the night. They’ll be at their highest in the southern sky in the wee hours after midnight. By the time dawn breaks, the moon and Spica will be low in your southwest sky.

Another interesting fact that helps to find Spica at all times....

Quote:There’s another way to find Spica. Follow the arc of the Big Dipper handle to the brilliant yellow-orange star Arcturus, then go twice that distance to land on Spica, a sparkling blue-white gem of a star!

And Orion is still crossing the skies...it will be in the skies till mid summer. After the Summer Solstice you wont find it in the night sky.

Western leading still proceeding....guide us to that perfect light!

    http://www.earthsky.org/tonighthome/2010-03-15/url

Quote:Either way, you can definitely notice Orion moving steadily westward.

The Sun is in Aquarius till March 13th which it will then rise in Pisces. Every month you can find the direction of your sign the sun rose in at your birth by following the path of the moon on the heavensabove.com site. I believe there is deep awareness when facing the direction of where the sun rose at your birth.

Just some things to look for...

    Lots of HeartHeartHeart
    Lynette
