    Hello friends.

Some of you have PM'ed me, but I have not answered. I just wish to say that I am extremely tired of all things spiritual at the moment. It feels like discussing it and putting it into rational terms is not something I wish to do at this time. I simply want to be and explore the world with no spiritual ambition.

I'm not sure how long I'll do this. I wish you all the best until we meet again.

    Much love
    Erik

We all need timeouts from time to time. Follow your heart and you'll be fine, we understand you. I'm scandinavian too and for me the hardest thing is connecting to these (some of them at least) close minded brothers and sisters. But i know we were eager to take on this assignment because we knew we could pull it off. It seems dark now and then but we will always have each other.

I send all my love to you, take care brother.

I find your comments here always well worth reading, Erik. I hope your heart guides you to whatever enriches and delights you. If there's any kernel of truth to what we've been studying, we'll certainly meet again someday to share all our explorations, in this dimension and lifetime or another. Godspeed.

I go through the "burn out" at least once a month. We all need a break sometimes. I wish you luck in clearing the air.

I'm in a forum posting slowdown too brother. As Q'uo said, when you feel like everything is too much, take the time and enjoy life. Perhaps this is a cycle we go through. When one is simply being, one needs not to be doing.

Do as you desire, and post if you want, or not if you don't want to, or wander... whatever makes you happy, do it Smile

It's a slowdown that it seems many are feeling at the moment. Everything has a cycle, and change is good! Always good to meet another Erik, by the way.

A large burst of non-spiritual light,

I've had brief periods of this fatigue you speak of, it's not a physical one. It's more of a mental one where I've lost the hunger and can't place it on anything to study. This although leaves quite quickly and all too fast do I plunge back into the mysteries.

I'm sorry for posting any excerpts of spiritual stuff if it is not what is wanted here but I found this connecting. There is a love of service, and there is a wisdom of service. When both are balanced the service/seeking might be seen as prolonged and in gradually increasing in intensity.

Quote:If you are tired, if you are weary, we encourage you to rest. We do not encourage you to press forward when you are too tired. We ask you, please, to take time to sit and give yourself a rest, to demand nothing of yourself at all. This entity often, watching the television in what she considers a semi-vegetative state or reading one of her romances or science fiction or mystery novels, feels guilty at least to some extent because she has stopped trying, and she is resting by the side of the road. May we say that there is wisdom in the resting, for you do not wish to burn out like a flame that has burnt too hot. Let yourself cool off; let yourself become grounded; let yourself move down into your heaviest body. And then gently, after you have rested, take a deep breath, let it out, and say to yourself, “Shall we dance again? Shall we hit the road? Shall we have some fun?”

Quote:It is well to realize that in order to serve, the self must be gathered to itself. And this very often requires moments of rest. It requires pulling back, and without judgment allowing the self to follow that which it finds diverting; allowing the self to seek solace where solace may be found. The very act of making this allowance is itself a spiritual act of very great significance, for in that gesture, one acknowledges also that one still abides, that one still is upon the path, that one still has set the intention to be of service to others in precisely that way it is given one to be.

What usually brings me into more seeking was one of the Q'uo sessions which I can't find right now, It said that a seeker will go through periods of dry and periods of lively seeking. What the seeker has during the dry periods is the will which is like a candle when one is in the dark. For the will is driven by those memories of realizations in the past and the original reasons for seeking. There were a lot of sessions which included questions about spiritual burn out and such, but yeah it's always good to just lay it aside for a while and do something else when you're tired.
