I know there are tons of creative people on these forums. Some of you may even be music makers Smile

I know that godwide has put together some 'Law of One themed' albums -

    http://godwidevoid.blogspot.com.au/

inspired by his example, I've gotten back into some music writing too. My stuff is much more sparing, and is really improv at it's heart. It has a classical and baroque core, although I'd like to think I've placed my own stamp on it.

if it's not too much ego-highlighting, I hope this thread can stay existing, but I understand if this comes across as being self promoting Smile

this is a short piece I wrote this morning:

    The Flitting of the Star

What I feel improv really is is bringing out how you feel at the present moment and manifesting those feelings into musical form without filtering them through any preconceptions of what it should sound like or what you want it to sound like. I've always admired listening to improvised pieces a bit more than a song someone spent days working on because it gives a unique view on the artist's true state of being at the time they made the song.

I really enjoy the reserved and calm approach to this song and my only qualm is that I really wish it didn't end so quickly! Smile It made me envision a beautiful royal castle garden on a Spring day (the flute really emphasized that imagery), and it's admirable when short pieces can move a person so much, which is what you succeeded in doing. You should definitely share that other piece you sent me before here, it deserves to be heard! I'm glad that the service I'm doing actually acted as catalyst to inspire a soul to bring out their dormant endless potential and pursue this joy of music. This thread is an excellent idea and hopefully we can form a little musical Social Memory Complex here (which it might already be... Tongue)

I want to hear more! Smile Never stop bringing out the wonderful sounds inside of you and don't forget the divine source that channels these melodies through you. I also forgot to mention that you have a very fluid and alluring sense of melody. On the 6th listen I'm getting a sense of being in a holy monastery of sorts.

By the way, how exactly do I go about downloading it from the page it's playing on? The only thing there is the music player, but no option to download it. :-/

    Done and done. BigSmile

I'm excited to see if any other musicians are lurking around here and decide to join in. It'd be really cool if every active member here posted up little musical improvs they make at any given time. I think it would allow everyone here to get a better understanding of each other apart from just reading the thoughts we all share. Words don't do what we really feel justice; hearing the sounds of the minds of another provides better insight into our souls. Smile Plus, who knows? We could get a Bring4th collective album going, made by the entire forum itself! It could be a really bonding and unifying thing. Heart

By the way plenum; I would really dig the chance to collaborate with you some time. Smile I knew I couldn't be the only person here down to make music for our Creator and am thankful to the Creator that such a grand opportunity to co-Create is arising.

Here's a track from my recently released album (whose existence nobody here acknowledges Tongue).
    http://soundcloud.com/ceruleantransience...the-pineal

It was actually used in a friend of mine's psychedelic-themed wedding on 11/11/11 set on a beach, placing a huge emphasis on divine union as opposed to a normal wedding. Lot of crystal use, just amazing... the thread is here (another forum): http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...1#15317371

You know what, I always assumed Corkboard was mostly for selling services/goods. It makes alot of sense to spread your musical services there as well... such will be done later! You've pointed me in the right direction. Smile

I wouldn't say this is "LOO inspired," but it is largely improvised. I spent a little time on production but most of the music just flowed.

It's the only song I've ever recorded, made completely with my guitar and Digitech GNX4 (even the bass was just an effect for guitar on the processor).

I may get around to recording more music someday.

(it's also prone to making people fall asleep, and then waking them back up halfway through :p)

    nice one Bridge!

that actually sounds like 'real music' as opposed to the stuff I knock up BigSmile

I actually really liked the intro section.

I'd have to say that Sonoluminescence and Chambers of my Heart are my favorites. Your music actually reminded me of the group Bluetech, albeit with a bit rawer production. I hear enormous potential in your stuff. Smile Keep on going!

hey Mikey, can you talk a bit more about your composing process? is it spontaneous (more improvised) or more methodical and constructed? (more like Beethoven style).?

I am quite interested in how others go about their craft.

the making of the music is quite improvised...there are like 200 presets of sounds on the kaossilator pro which i use to make all the loops...i have my favorite sounds which i use more than others...putting the loops together with mixcraft is more methodical

here is my creation for today Smile
