    here's the schedule:

    http://www.mbsfestival.com.au/sydney-schedules.htm

it runs from Thursday-Sunday (Oct 23-26) and I'll be going on the Thursday.

just posting here on the off chance that another Sydneysider might stumble upon it BigSmile

thanks Jade. I had a great time!

I shared some pics on FB here:

I also had a great reading along with a spirit guide painting here:

Lindsey was the most deeply connected person I came across at the festival. And I tried to visit as many booths as I could during the day. What was offered by others was always relevant; but Lindsey was the most profound and detailed. She gave me the perfect mirror for what I need to do in my life right now ... which is to commit.

Running away from things ... bailing out when bored or things get too difficult ... a lack of confidence in the self ...

I know exactly what I need to do now. Which is funny, because I wrote about it in a blog post about six weeks ago: http://www.bring4th.org/archive.php?uid=...d=4&y=2014

but I didn't do anything about it. She even asked me outright if I was a Healer, because I had the perfect energies for it.

I also got a Reiki session done (first time!) and the woman was rather surprised that my heart centre was so clear, because so many people have issues there. But she detected some strong activity/disturbances in the yellow chakra, which is something that I've known about (and tried to address) for the longest time. That's about connecting, interacting, and participating in wider society. Commitment to a task and a role.

I know what I need to do. I just got to do it. And stick with it. It's not about distractions (I have good concentration) but sticking with something to the very end.

an awesome day, and so much to plan for and arrange now. It feels like my life is finally getting started at the age of 37 after a very very long preparation period.

    Bon voyage!!

Very cool plenum! Is your guide seriously named Alexander? You seem to have a thing for people named Alex Tongue

    No. Really? ....

    Wink

The event looks like it was a great time. I'd be interested in seeing many of the speakers. Though this title really grabbed my attention: "Why personal care products make you fat and affect your hormones and what you can do about it!"

Aha. That one is not at all representative of the event (so far as I can tell from the schedule. I quote it just because it's funny sounding.)

yeah, there has to be some 'catchiness' to some of the offerings. Call it 'link bait' if you will BigSmile

but yeah, this event has been going strong for some time, and so it's attracted some very interesting individuals. One thing I didn't partake of was the 'Psychics Lounge', where about 50 tables are set up, and 25 minute reading sessions are scheduled by appointment (on the day or beforehand). I guess you really have to do your research to find someone you consider trustworthy enough to book an appointment without getting a sense of who they are in person beforehand.

then again, there's always pot-luck, which is how I've always approached a lot of things Smile

I'm glad you had so much fun!! When I went to our local psychic/paranormal expo a few months ago (which I'm sure pales in comparison to the one in Sydney) one of the mediums who was a shaman that I was just chatting with ask me what kind of healing I did, too, haha. Fervent belief in the Law of One is probably overall just a nice healing energy.

I had a past life reading done, a tarot reading, and a Kirlian aura photo taken - my aura was bright cherry red, almost exclusively, which shocked me for some reason. However, the picture "disappeared" a few weeks ago. If it turns back up I'll share.

I believe when I had my aura looked at by a gifted psychic she said I had a lot of blue. At least that's what I remember. But I don't feel very wise. If blue is the color of wisdom.

I have a belief in the LOO, but I'm not sure if it's fervent. My belief gets doubts from time to time. I doubt many things. I don't have a strong character. I am pretty weak willed at times.

I tried a psychic once asking about my love life, and she didn't even pick up that I was gay. I don't really trust them, except one convinced me to get rid of my gun, which was a good move. It saved my life.

I think you'd make a great healer too Jade. Of course, there is a timing and a place for all these things, but I recognise some quality that you have too Smile

Austin and I have experienced this sort of environment a few times now. We hosted an L/L booth at a Spiritualist festival with a (literal) cafeteria full of mediums offering their services. And we did the same at a metaphysical/spiritual/new age sort of expo with a variety of psychic/non-conventional services offered.

It seems like a strange way to do it... like you were indicating, it's a sort of "crap shoot". (Meaning, the quality of the service rendered could be really hit or miss and random.) But then again perhaps that still small voice inside might direct one to the best connection.

At any rate it makes for a really interesting atmosphere.
