My sister sent me a picture this morning that she snapped with her phone of a meditation room in an airport! The sign for this room gives the appearance of someone in prayer, not someone seated in the lotus position as you might expect.

How fantastic is this! Has anyone ever seen anything like this outside of meditation, holistic, or healing centers?

    lol!!!

That looks a lot more like the "I'm not worthy" room instead of a meditation room.

    Godspeed!

I find this OK. I am actually thankful that they have an area like this. I saw one Meditation/Prayer room at airport in Singapore. They probably have to cater to all kinds of folks and most of them probably understand this prayer posture better... Some progress right Smile

I just noticed a similar sign in an airport recently but it said 'chapel' not meditation room. I wonder how the meditation room got named! I can envision a meeting where they were discussing it and they compromised on the praying guy with the meditation words...

Lol! It does look a bit like a Wayne's World "We're not worthy!" pose or someone picking a door lock. Or how my girlfriend suggests that I approach her after an argument... Wink

thefool, that would make sense that there are meditation rooms in public places in Asia, especially southeast Asia. This particular photo was taken in an airport in either Georgia or Illinois, not sure, probably the former.

Monica, it probably was intended to remind people to take their medication, lest they wind up falling to their knees begging for help, but someone spelled it wrong.

    Love to all. = )
