This misses something, the white spots in the middle should all be people flailing about in different postures around the central point "falling/climbing". [/quote] I was illustrating the individuation process rather than recreating a wheel of life. I tried to keep the symbols as simple as possible and on point. Mandala's are symbolic of the self or 'magical personality' and the sun and moon joined as one are symbolic of the conscious mind balanced with the unconscious flowing in and out of each other.

Can someone tell me how to upload an image from my computer here? Thanks.
06-30-2013, 10:38 AM
Caycegal, I always upload my pictures to photobucket first, then use the image link. There is an icon when you are creating a reply that allows you to insert image links, essentially pasting the picture directly onto the page.

I doodled these when I worked as a phone interviewer between calls (15-30 second breaks between when calling new person). They're for my rather extensive fantasy world but haven't really had the sitdown to produce more. Some are also not finished >.>
http://imgur.com/a/UiMIC#0 Important edit: I don't do magic dragons. They're 'dumb' as parrots and are the top predators of this world. Flies by producing methane in stomache, filling vacuols and grinds metal heavy stones in mouth to spew fire (methane). A land-stranded dragon is a hungry and sad dragon.

Here's a painting I started a while ago but only got to finish it today: Orca - 2013 See it on DeviantART / Visit Luminescent Some months ago, I dreamed of a beautiful orca in the ocean, close to a shore where I stood. It left me with a very strong feeling and impression, and since then I've felt a connection to the marine mammal. For the series Luminescent, I decided to illustrate two orcas. The orca whale, also known as killer whale, is a carnivorous marine mammal found in all oceans and most seas. They are known to live in matriarchal societies and each pod has its own unique dialect. Orcas are extremely intelligent and playful. They are also present in Native American tradition, often regarded as the ruler or guardian of the sea.

Looking for someone to design a book cover. All I can offer is your name (Cover designed by ______) as the book is very much a low cost endeavor that I'm working on after my regular job - and it's not the first time I've started a book, but I'm hoping it'll be the first time I actually get one to the marketing stage. It is a paperback 5.5 X 8.5 inches. I have started (the cover) with some ideas I had working on Gimp. I just think someone with more artistic and marketing knowledge could do a better job than I can - especially since I have to teach myself how to use Gimp while I'm going along, and I should really be spending any free time writing the book itself. The cover needs to be commercially attractive. The book is about a health supplement that is very exciting, and the people who own the company have agreed to sell it on their website when it's completed - they are helping me with materials. I would need you to sign over the rights to the design in an agreement that would state that you will be given credit by name for the design of the cover if it is used. Send me a message if you are interested.
P.S. I'm aware that anyone who agrees to this deal is just doing it to be helpful, or perhaps someone who wants the practice, and is a beginner in a design or other artistic career. Thanks in advance.

I like it Horuseus. Is it supposed to be a tunnel of light, or a disk?
I self-published a novel, which I wish I had gone with a traditional publisher/agent. I had the chance, but I blew it. Now my book is out of print, and it's hard to get another publisher to seriously consider a book that was already published. It may have been made into a movie if I had used a standard publisher, but I was afraid of losing the rights to my book. But what good are rights if I have no exposure. You might want to check out elance.com. That site has people that will bid on a project, and you choose who you'd like from those that bid.
