    I have tried EFT a number of times. The tapping is annoying and completely unnecessary in my opinion. At the core is the acknowledgement of the original experience of misunderstanding. You release that pattern through acceptance. What seems to work is to re-experience the emotion while taking a deep breath. This can be repeated until the pattern dissipates. You can find and release these patterns entirely on your own, of course, by simply reflecting on situations which are uncomfortable.

    I skip it. To me, what's important is fully experiencing the emotion as applied to remembered circumstance, in order to appreciate the misunderstanding. There can be difficulty in making space to accommodate recalling experiences, because we tend to be used to a level of discomfort that we are willing to tolerate.

    Makes a lot of sense. I like to use bilateral stimulation thru tapping on both right & left side of the body because it creates similar effect to REM sleep. Helps when processing thoughts & emotions.
