to be normal and do something human for a job. like when those Vulcans came to observe humans they got stuck & had to adapt. then they started to like it but they weren't in icky europe. so no wonder.

Talent can be skills or it can be personality related. You have skill-based talent (linguistic and intelligent) and great personality (sassy, passionate, caring, funny). You rarely acknowledge your talents and highlight your so-called impediments (that block you from taking risks). Kids do get influenced by parents and society but we adults have that plus brainwashing from our own self about who we are, maybe. Alien does have talent but she chooses to look the other way.
