Thanking of the Student-Teacher Relationship
Date: 17 June, Saturday
Time: 10AM EST, 3PM London, 10PM Beijing, 11:59pm Sydney
Location: Chatroom 2 - the Lounge
/ /
Theme: it may seem, in some circles, to be a sacrifice of personal autonomy to acknowledge that one may be a student in relation to another individual. Perhaps because there have been so many cases of spiritual teachers (as well as other authority figures) misusing their position.
But if one is genuinely in a position to teach (or a position to learn), and the situation established is based on mutual respect and acknowledgement, tremendous progress can be made; much more than if one chose to continue stumbling alone.
Ra cites a president of the USA, who, it would seem, held all the reins of decision making and ultimate authority. And yet, if their assessment of the inner dynamics is to be credited, then Eleanor Roosevelt was FDR's teacher (35.2)
So in this meditation, we'll just acknowledge and thank this particular relationship (the general one). And we may (at various stages of our lives) be called upon to play either side of the student-teacher dynamic. And it's a great opportunity to be able to experience either side.
Namaste.

The most common mental energy transfer is that of the teacher and the pupil. The amount of energy is dependent upon the quality of this offering upon the part of the teacher as regards the purity of the desire to serve and the quality of information offered and, upon the part of the student, the purity of the desire to learn and the quality of the mind vibratory complex which receives knowledge.
