I wholeheartedly disagree with the mindset of freedom at the cost of love of your fellow humans. Thats what this statement seems to imply. At least to me.

Richard, I believe your intepretation is somewhat misdirected. What I mean by being "free from" seems to be often very easily misunderstood.

What I was referring could perhaps be best described by this quote:

It is also to be noted that an adept is one which has freed itself more and more from the constraints of the thoughts, opinions, and bonds of other-selves. Whether this is done for service to others or service to self, it is a necessary part of the awakening of the adept. This freedom is seen by those not free as what you would call evil or black. The magic is recognized; the nature is often not.

No man is an island someone once said. How can you ever love that which you are striving to be free of?

Being "free of" does not negate nor cancel the ability/opportunity to LOVE. I'd be the first to say I am all the "evil" in this world, so I do not seek to separate myself from anything. Freedom does not necessarily imply separation.

There is nothing wrong with relationships.

Wholeheartedly agree. Never have I said nor implied relationships were "wrong." Absolutely EVERYTHING in the Creation is about relationships. Relationships are the dynamic of Creation.

Lastly, may I remind you:
All begins and ends with the self.
