I don't think this worldwide problem is going to wait 100 years in ANY case. The basic situation is the cost of living has skyrocketed in the past 5 - 10 years and wages have stayed exactly the same.
If you DO believe the shift into 4D is coming this year (as many, many channels say this, including [arguably]the Ra Material/Q'uo channelings), this will most definitely NOT be a problem any longer.
If you do NOT believe there is a shift in to 4D coming DURING your incarnation (or you just aren't sure), then I can't imagine this situation not resolving itself in the next 5 years, probably much less than that. Things will get hard enough that people will start turning on the authorities and demanding things be better. The "machine" will break down and things will HAVE to change in some direction.
AFTER the machine breaks down, then maybe people will finally want to implement a NEW system instead of just plain old capitalism, such as the resource-based economy Patrick posted about.
So either way, the times are 'uh changin.
