I don't think you're gonna find alot of people claiming it's safe...but I do it anyway. And it truly does make you feel 'better' and eat less. I've eaten 2 boiled eggs today (it's 3.30pm) and water and don't feel like anything else. That's after sitting in the sun for a few hours each day, for the last 3 days.
The correlation between eating too much and lack of sunshine has become very obvious to me lately. And if the mouth is connected to the heart chakra then I'm making the assumption that sunlight stimulates the heart chakra (amongst other things).
And further I'm experiencing intense teariness and sadness the last few days which I'm putting down to stimulation of the heart and releasing of repressed emotions.
Oh and I only do sungazing in the early morning when the sun is rising and the view is just breathtaking as I'm walking down to the water. Will try to take a picture and post it if not raining tomorrow. I'm usually in the office when it's setting so can't do it then.
I find I need less sleep too so I'm up at 3am or earlier, so this gives me plenty of time to be up and ready to view the sun. About a year ago I needed 8-12hrs of sleep, now it's 6hrs.
