Patrick, this was an amazing post.
I started this, reading and then the reaction from me was "hm, is this another ~let us fight the war for peace finally~ speech?", then I realized that I am getting ahead of myself as you just implied that it should be quite the opposite: Let us sit down and smile at those who do not feel like smiling at all!
I appreciate this approach greatly. I imagine those that chose a different path for themselves are having quite different catalysts, issues and goals - not superior or inferior to those that simply do not want to fight anymore, but different.
