I absolutely love Terence McKenna. He is the entity I have to thank in large part for my awakening. The man is not of this density.
His preferred method of contacting infinity was the use of psychedelics, preferrably DMT and Psilocybin Mushrooms. He has so many wonderful talks and writings that offer such insight into the psyche and consciousness itself I strongly encourage everyone to do a search on the man.
One of his ideas (a favorite of mine) is that psychedelics played a part as a catalyst for human mental evolution. Anybody who's ever tripped may agree with me, simply for the profound feeling of WHY.
He was a big theorist on 2012. He even developed a program based on the I Ching that would display a graph that correlated to time periods that showed sharp increases at certain traumatic points in history like the great depression and WWII. The funny thing is, when the program is projected into the future, it flatlines at December 21, 2012. The program is still available on Terence's old site.
I can't praise him enough, he is the closest thing I have to a role model. I leave you with this.
