Quote: It can certainly be depressing. In my worst moments, when the suffering of the world that I keep at bay closes in, and I spiral down, it is the animal kingdom and their suffering that gets to me the most.
Once in a group meditation, the purpose of which was to help lost souls pass to the other side and move on from here, I saw no humans. Instead, I saw animals. First, I saw a group of rats scuttle by looking apprehensive, as though they knew humans hated them. Then I saw a giraffe, and a couple of other animals. Then, an adolescent male elephant came and turned toward me. He "spoke" to me and told me that humans were destroying the land of the brothers and sisters of the animal kingdom, and that they were starving. He asked that I spread this message to other humans. When the meditation was over, I had to say something to the group, and sobbing, told the group what the elephant had said.
