There is much taken out of context from many sources that are inaccurate and that have had extraordinary affects on our social structures.
That doesn't mean that there is not a correct perception of light and darkness. It simply points out the need for a strong discerning nature and caution. As a matter of fact I think the fact that good and evil has always been divided as light and darkness points to the fact that there is some ancient truth to be found there, but it needs to be uncovered with a fine tooth comb, rather than scooped up by the shovel load with all the rest of the bullcrap.
