Metaphors for STO and STS

If you come from the place that all is one, or put another way, all things are equal, then you will automatically treat everything and everyone with the same respect and love you treat yourself. In my opinion, you can distort STO by sacrificing the self. That seems out of balance for many reasons, the least of which is that your body, your existence, is your gift.

The first step, then, in either STS or STO would be to love and respect self. Then, recognizing that all is one, or that the power of self is the path, will be clearer.
