Good luck attempting to explain them as having anything to do with the optical system, as it's been tried already. Read this.

Look I see where you're coming from. There are vague and unusual experiences that can easily be explained away as natural phenomena. But there are some experiences that just defy explanation.
A week ago in my bedroom a ball of light about an inch in diameter fell from the ceiling to the ground and disappeared. Now I believe it to be my higher self, showing itself at a very low point in my spiritual seeking.
My best friend sees 3 balls of light above my head on occasion. She has seen 12 encircling someone else. She finds it very disconcerting to see them and has done so for the last 20years to my knowledge.
I think Gribbons is onto something here....I think it's orbs. I mean we've all experienced those odd visuals when we stand up too quickly or feel faint and I think you'd know the difference.
Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater! Instead of thinking it's someone grasping for a paranormal experience let's think of it this way; their attention has been drawn to the event and an inner voice tells them this is different to what's been experienced thus far and hence contemplate what's occurring. Keep searching type of thing....inspiration!
