I do that too sometimes, not finishing books. I think that maybe, when you stop reading a book is when you have reached that part important for you to read, that particular information which was meant to cross your path. (I mean 'you' in a general sense). Why should we feel obliged to read books from start to end, after all?

It is all about keeping flexible regarding aspects of reading.

Oh, I have this one on a shelf somewhere. Here it is known by another tittle, "Northern Lights" by Philip Pullman. I have not read it though. I started it but ... you know.
