Haha, to the Middle Ages not necessarily. I do, however, appreciate the dissonant and emotive atmosphere that music from that time period puts a good deal of emphasis on. The progressions and chords I use also evoke a sort of quasi-medieval atmosphere I suppose. You're also not the first person to make that connection either, but now I can see why it was made!
