I wonder if having the experience of viewing the entire earth, seeing it as "one" object, from afar, also triggers the realization that we are all "one" too. i.e. instead of mediating or experimenting with psychedelics, go look at the earth from the moon, and you will see "us" as we really are.
It's interesting how all these astronauts have a similar experience of the love, oneness and beauty of the earth when it is seen as one object from space. I wonder if there is something else at play here. I'm struggling to put it into words.
basically, is there something that is deep inside our biology and spiritual mass as humans that "draws us home" when seeing the earth in it's entirety as a single object, filling us with love? what happens to the "veil' when we leave home? Did these astronauts experience a deep metaphysical connection to our planet?
