I will only say that indeed, Carla was a big fan of sex in all (well, most) of its wild variations, humor and glorious, gasmic fun. I don't think I would embarrass her to tell about the time a friend loaned me a stack of 8mm b&w stag films (this was before home video or the Internet were even gleams in a porn purveyor's eye). I viewed them and the next day I called and asked her if she would like to look at some. She said, "Sure!"
So I brought her back to my apartment and threaded up the films that I liked the best. The very first one began with a lady wearing a hula costume and dancing in front of a mirror, wearing only a lei on top and nothing under the grass skirt. Nearly at once, Carla said, "Come on, bring on the guy."
In those days with silent b&w films (most of you weren't even born yet), it was impossible not to crack wise and comment on the goings-on in the films, and we did. Lots of giggles, but we also enjoyed the "coupling" for what it was. To answer your question no, we didn't follow that up with play of our own, but we did appreciate the behaviors we saw and she thanked me for sharing the films with her. So think of Carla as a well-rounded, fully appreciative woman.
I know nothing about this at all, but I can imagine that Don might have considered Carla and Jim "doing it" if that would improve her energy and, incidentally, the contact with Ra. He adored her on so many levels. Probably seven, in fact.
I too laughed at the image of Don thumping on the wall.
