For example, the 'simple' idea of space/time or time/space in Alexander's 'Space, Time, and Deity' (and later in Larson's theoretical approach), or the so-called 'mind-body' problem. We tend to require simple ideas to be rehashed to some suitable from, in order to connect or make them approachable.
