You should learn to accept and love that which comes to you/hurts you. Everything is a reflection of what's inside you.i try not to find too much metaphysical value in taking out the garbage. i just try to take it out before it begins to smell and then forget about it.
Quote:Funny that few say, "Perhaps your lesson is about regaining your own power and sense of joy, so if you want to tell people to p**s off then go for it!"i'm polite to people nine times out of ten, but sometimes people don't respond to politeness the first time around despite my repeated efforts. then i'm off to other healthier relationships instead. i either leave the old relationship quietly, or loudly if they don't allow me to move on quietly.
Quote:What you're saying Vince, it seems to me, is that you're actually ok. You feel balanced and happy without the intrusive and hurtful things others do to you, and you find that breaking unhelpful connections restores you to peace. Yes? (Do tell me if I'm wrong in thinking that from reading your posts).yes, you're absolutely correct.
Quote:What they are is me letting go of the constant round of you-me, me-you, you-other, me-other, you-me, etc., etc.i've attended a weekly counseling group for the last ten years to hash out health and family concerns that had affected me from childhood. our counseling group usually runs about five to ten people.
each week, many people in the group tell tragic stories which involve relational intertwinement with others. some are routinely emotionally distraught due to the psychic toxins of others versus direct health issues of their own, but they can't seem to make such differentiations.
if you ask them: "how are you?", they will answer: "my sister lost her job" or "my father yelled at my mother" or "my brother is ill". they can't tell themselves apart from other people. and they can't differentiate the psychic poisons of others from their own.
Quote:See, now I'm wondering... Are you far more connected to your true nature than you've let on, and are just posting here to make others think..?i'm trying to find out where others are, to see if we are in the same place. do others experience a sense of oneness despite the presence of toxic relationships, or do they only experience oneness after ceasing toxic relationships? i personally don't experience a sense of oneness in the presence of toxic relationships.
intellectually, i believe that we are all one on an energy level, but i personally don't experience a sense of oneness relationally with people too much, except a select few who have an understanding of the oneness concept. i 'think' from a oneness perspective, but i don't necessarily 'feel' oneness with many people in a daily practical sense. instead, i feel disconnected from most people, like people live in very different worlds. i'm wondering if other forum members experience the same as me or different.

I had mostly all imbalanced people in my life and I was very depressed. I hoped to find someday something to help me out and find peace too. I knew I had to change inward to make changes outward of my surroundings. I came across a spiritual teacher woman named Supreme Master Ching Hai and her teachings of love and compassion and her meditations to learn. i soon learned the Quan Yin Method, this meditation really helped me to balance myself and find inner peace and wisdom and divine love,
then my surroundings changed for the better and I also became stronger to cope with any negative people or situations that still arise.
It has been 15 years now and I am happy I stuck with this meditation all along and I am continuing to grow in compassion and love and wisdom.
This may be a meditation that you may like. the Master also teaches the Convient Method Meditation. this is good too, 30 minutes a day.
you can start by watching her web tv show called Supreme Master TV

I hope you will find some helpful teaching from these sites.
