But, again to be nitpicky, Q'uo in that session points out the difference between silent meditation and contemplative meditation. I think a balance between the two is the best formula for knowing one's self.
Plus, we can look at the science behind silent or mantra meditation. Lowering your brain frequency to alpha, theta, or even delta waves, allows you to enter a state in which the neural pathways in your brain can "rewire" themselves, ultimately creating more pathways between the two sides of the brain. Supposedly, having these pathways allows us to process things in a fuller sense. And deeper, more frequent meditation will allow us to function in our everyday lives in a more balanced meditative state.
Sure. I won't disagree. But I need to do what works, and I think my methods are achieving the same thing. Thank you for steering me to an understanding of the definition. For sure. Note: I ride skateboard "goofy foot", I shoot pool "backwards", and I like to read the end of a book before I enjoy the beginning. So, you should know who you are working with LOL
