If you are indeed using copious amounts of Cannabis then your aura must look like swiss cheese... Any entity (human and non-human) can just walk in and take up residence in a hole in the aura. I have a friend that calls these energy vamps, Cling-ons because that is just what they do, they cling-on and hitch a ride and meal in your energy field.
I quit smoking pot 27 years ago (after 6 years of heavy use in high school & college) and did it again only a handful of times after that, when I noticed that I felt less motivated and rather foggy. So I quit for good.
I know people in their 40s & 50s who still get high regularly. Some are active, motivated people in prestigious, well-paid jobs, while others are the typical 'stoners' who don't seem to get very far in life. One friend in particular has had some amazing spiritual experiences, and she gets high off and on pretty regularly.
So I really do think it depends on the person. I've heard the 'holes in the aura' idea before, and at the time, it scared me away from ever getting high again, for many years. But now I wonder where that came from. Can you elaborate please? I no longer have an interest in smoking weed, but I fiercely defend it as a benign alternative to alcohol (which I consider far more harmful).
I now question the 'holes in the aura' idea as being absolute. Recreational use seems harmless and even productive for some people I know. So I am wondering what that idea is based on. Have psychics seen holes in the aura, or what? I remember the last few times I got high - which was after I'd started meditating, fasting, etc. and I remember being much more aware and able to make use of being high as a spiritual catalyst than I was back when I was young and was just partying. I now consider weed to be in the same category as peyote and mushrooms - to be used reverently and with respect.
A couple of years ago, a friend invited me to do a Native American ceremony with peyote, but I declined. For me, that time is past. But I respected and honored her experience, which turned out to be a huge spiritual breakthru for her.
