Well said, Quincunx. Isn't this true in so many situations?
I'm slowly emerging from a pandemic "fog." (Not quite the same fog you spoke of Quincunx, but similar.)
The pandemic turned life upside down for us (and many others).
While I've watched others run back into life, I'm stepping out of that fog more slowly. Without realizing it initially, I was/am assessing whether I want to return to life as it was pre-pandemic. It feels like a metaphorical death and rebirth: what do I want my life to be like now? who do I want to be now?
