Dissolving the Body Armor

In this quote Reich writes about how we generally are unaware of the body armor.

"There can be no doubt that the basic attitude of the armored body is not consciously created but is autonomous. A person is not aware of his armor as such. If the attempt is made to describe it to him in words, he usually does not understand what one is talking about. He does not sense the armor itself but merely the distortion of his inner perceptions of life. He describes himself as being apathetic, rigid, confined, empty, or he complains about palpitations, constipation, insomnia, nervous restlessness, nausea, etc. If the armor has existed for a long time and has also had an effect on the tissues of the organs, the patient comes to us because of peptic ulcers, rheumatism, arthritis, cancer, or angina pectoris." - Wilhelm Reich

Causality is a tricky subject and I actually believe that causality is nondual, meaning that the whole of reality is the cause of everything that happens. Nevertheless the body armor is from a relative perspective the cause of lots of psychological and physical diseases.
