Watched Lazzaro Felice last night, it did not disappoint. The cinematography was beautiful, those italian landscapes are just gorgeous.
I have to say it was not anything like what I was expecting, but it was more beautiful than I could have imagined. I especially enjoyed how modern society was portrayed as alien, dull, and confusing. Stark contrast to the lush imagery of country-living in the first half. Made me reflect on the shortcomings of the post-industrial revolution era we live in, and how disconnected we are from family, the earth, and each other.
I don't want to give any more away in case others will watch in the future, but don't expect a jolly little tale. Definitely explores some dark corners of human society.
