We were not created to temper steel.

Well Ra says in our design we are intended to be drawn towards the making, holding and using of physical tools.

So technically speaking, we were kind of created to temper steel. This, among other things also of course.

It's definitely a required step in order for us to learn what is our real nature, our real service. While it is a required step in discovery, it is not the reason for which we were Created for. In fact, doing this the Logos made it more difficult for us to become aware of what our true service is. Yet we are meeting the challenge quite well.

Once we are satisfied that these other things are not what keeps us the most in joy, we can fully embrace our real service to the Creation.
