That just means a collective telepathic internet. Has the internet made people more mature or less?

The internet has lots of information and connects a huge number of people, but it's still third density with people in ego consciousness clashing with each other. A social memory complex as I see it is something entirely different. It's a collective consciousness, a superorganism, an evolutionary leap, a planetary consciousness. As I imagine it we become the entire human race (or at least a part of those who share the same SMC).

A small example of such collective field is a flock of starlings moving in formations. Try to achieve that with people in ego consciousness!
