Greetings, 

I thought that I'd share this text taken from the new version of my book which better articulates my feelings about Disclosure:

Disclosure

 
There seems to be a popular desire amongst some members of the public for the governments of this planet to disclose all that they know about ET visitations to Earth to us. I get the impression that many of these people look to more advanced ETs to come here and solve all of our problems, in some kind of messianic grand gesture on the ETs part. And that in offering complete Disclosure, governments would some how open the way to ETs coming to Earth and removing all of our ills.  With my miniscule understanding of the current situation, I would say that this is not going to happen.
 
I believe that what our governments do know would scare the pants off most people and that exposing such secrets would serve little constructive purpose. Also, governments don’t give up their military secrets easily and willingly, and the issue of ET presence on Earth has become a military matter. 
 
I don’t believe that Positive ETs would suddenly reveal themselves to the global population in order to facilitate a technological / political / social revolution, as to do so would be to steal away from us the value of learning to solve our own problems. And they’ve learnt from experience, that they could well make things worse.
 
I’m not denying the value of new and powerful clean technologies to lift Earth and Humanity out of our current difficulties, but I believe that we as a species already possess, most if not all, of the technology required to resolve our physical problems. It’s just that they are hidden in “Black Projects”.
 
I would say that for the vast majority of individuals, such information is of transient importance and becoming aware of such information will do little to help you polarize.
 
Are we as a species, ready to have the full scope of historical and current ET / Human interaction suddenly revealed to us?
