It's an interesting perspective.

Maybe the only hard limitation is in our makeup as a complex version of entities. The first entities of this Octave were not created with such limitations. They were mind/body/spirit and we are mind/body/spirit complexes.

And indeed for us, detaching from working with the physical while incarnated would be counter productive. The physical world catalysts are called by each of us so we can do work on the self.
