How Honeybees May Infect Bumblebees

Honeybees are an important part of modern agriculture, but “they’re non-native. They’re livestock animals,” Alger says. “A huge misconception in the public is that honeybees serve as the iconic image for pollinator conservation. That’s ridiculous. It’s like making chickens the iconic image of bird conservation."

Interestingly in the south west of france, in a specific area where pesticides have been stopped, last year bumblebees have reappeared.   I thought too that honeybees were  the iconic image..  

Yeah! Reading these research pieces has drummed into me the realisation as to how predominantly my worldview was shaped by mere stereotypical archetypes that by themselves were trying to only make meaning out of a chaotically dynamic universe.
