I don't know much of the archetypes, but their 'point' is not easily figured depending on how abstract you are about them.
I see them as the basic building blocks, idealistically, that makes the many experiences we know now in their many ways palatable and manifest/potentiated.
Such as the Willpower of the Magician empowering one who has made a choice. Or the Empress that is the unconscious ocean of the veiled reality we exist within.
Or the Great Transformation of Spirit or the Dark Night of the Soul.
Its a very heavily layered thick and dense myriad of ideas that produce a blueprint for our veiled 3D interactions AND experiences AND more.
Quite honestly, its completely above and beyond me
