Which works are you checking out? 
-_-; 4 different games? DON'T THEY POSSESS THE TECHNOLOGICAL KNOW-HOW TO GENERATE ALL THE DATA ON ONLY ONE DISC!?!
They should, at the very least, have it span 3 discs in an attempt to parallel the original, or at least in regards to the hardware aspect, I suppose? Excellent on knowing Xenogears as well, and we should try petitioning for a Xenogears remake also! Xenosaga was exceptional despite it being a spiritual sequel rather than a direct & chronological one, but Gears remains my preference over Saga.
Also, since you're both familiar with Yasunori Mitsuda, here's a little remix/cover I did of the 'Another World' song from Chrono Cross:
