I have a feeling that most people who sought out Michael Newton were slightly STO biased (I think he mentioned that he mostly got "younger" souls that had karmic issues to work out with others in their soul group). I think a lot of the things people feel like they "failed" at were failed relationships with their "soul mates" (that were indeed set up to fail).
I don't think many people with a particularly strong STS bias would be willing to allow someone else (a stranger) to put them under hypnosis and regress them, on the whole. I think that's a lot of self-control to turn over to the hands of another. Or, on the other hand, if an STS entity would do this, I wouldn't put it past them to be emotional and/or manipulative, even under hypnosis. Crying with regret is hardly only an STO thing.
