I prefer the Tarot of Love or the Animal Spirit Cards. I mostly dowse now. The Tarot of Love was particularly helpful and healing for me... for we are always creating our own reality... the imagry helped me create better and good things in my life. It was part of my heart opening process.
As for divinination... It seems that my Higher Self feels that it is time to set such tools aside and work with creating my own reality rather then attempting to predict potential potentialities that are over 51% possible--- meaning many Seekers have arrived at the moment of Creating their Reality by intention. Prediction impedes developing these creative wings.
So, now I use only the Animal Spirit Deck--- and that is only if an animal literally shows up on my front or back porch or engages me somehow. All of creation speaks to you and is there to assist if you know what to ask and how. They will always answer (the elementals work through the Animals as well as guides).
Now when I reach a place of indecision and must decide due to life circumstances I dowse and take the info under advisement. Mostly, It slows down my processing and information stream so that I can see other possibilities or see the current possibilities in a new light... I find it usually assists me in that way.

What the book may say as a meaning may not be the meaning at all for you. Each reading is personal and speaks to your life potentials not to anothers.
