Hey Gemini, I have a deck of Rider Waite, which I tend to recommend because it contains a lot of occult symbols, every card because of this has an enormous amount of information to work with.. And a deck of Arcus Arcanum, which is really a comic book variant of the Rider-Waite deck the look of which I like. Really sweet pictures on that one.
The Waite has a tremendous amount more personality and accuracy. It was designed by occultists and is the most used deck I believe. The Arcus Arcanum feels very different. If I work with the cards, I use the Rider Waite deck. I got it it's personal wooden box..
I'm not very good with them I admit. Last time I used them was 10 years ago. The only thing I can recommend is to get into the symbology of your deck. Get to know them inside and out and associate feelings with every card. Follow your feelings more than the booklet. If you misunderstand a card and later figure that out, it doesn't mean your previous spreads are now invalid. The cards adapt to your understanding.
