yes, I can definitely see that point of view. There are various 'penetrations' of blue ray, and just because communications have failed, doesn't mean that the individual can't learn to develop wisdom as a result of that experience.
My own bias is towards completion and thoroughness, and so there is still some harshness towards what I perceive as 'failed experiments'. That's more self-criticism, rather than anything else.
