Well I'm interested in the slave's perspective (since we are in a "veganism" thread talking about animals).  So it's really irrelevant who was who.

Look, it's ok if you didn't know what the word meant. But you were talking about what we are doing, and we are in the same role as the abolitionists.

You aren't listening.  I already said they didn't instantaneously move from "focusing on being slaves" to "focusing on being free".

Your comment didn't make sense, which is why I clarified the meaning of the word abolitionist.

All that "raising awareness" was just a dog and pony show to move from point A to point B.  The real power came from where they focused and believed.  But you can tell the story how you like if it makes you feel better.
