I have come across similar ideas from mystic Jewish and Kabbalistic esoteric traditions, which relate the shapes, sounds, and spiritual meaning of the sounds. Some people then tried to correlate those to modern scientific understanding of energy structures inside atoms. I found all of this some time ago so I'm sorry I don't have any links for you.

Yes, the relationship is in the first triad of the sephiroth.
Keter, Chokhmah, and Binah.
The Creator, Its creation and its reflection.
