It seems that Don was mistaken and didn't catch that nuance that you just did. But, nonetheless, it doesn't matter since when Ra continued his/her/their answer, they didn't continue along Don's faulty line of reasoning. It seems that Ra didn't want to waste time and tell Don that he had it wrong.

I might have to look at it again since I'm sleepy and not feeling well, though.
