There are lots of "annointing of the third eye" rituals in Catholicism. On Ash Wednesday every year, everyone goes to mass and gets a cross drawn on their third eye in ashes. Not sure where the positive message lies in that one.

Are we "sacrificing" that power? When we are baptised, we are told that it's because of original sin, and if a baby dies before it is baptized it will go to purgatory because it's a sinner. Is the "original sin" the opening of the veil? Gotta do some processing with this one because it's quite repulsive to consider.
