Not processing the catalyst. My perception of positive polarity in this case would be subject; look at this, see it as problem. Problem, pro actively discuss and find solution, enrich our knowledge.
Negatively polarised goes problem; use it to slander or manipulate.
Unpolarised is problem; don't address it. Perhaps address it inaccurately. Push it back under the carpet.

Or possibly it started as positively polarised and is now sliding towards the negative. Leading more into the 'slander' area as a defence against it being written off. But I want to state clearly, it didn't start as negatively polarised.
