My understanding is that the pollen is just triggering a cleansing of toxins, and toxins love bodies that are fed dairy. It's a yummy, hospitable environment for them.

Because that's the task of pollen...to trigger a housecleaning. The toxins were there all along but they just got stirred up by the pollen.
Colds in winter do the same thing.
